Response Cards

Response Cards

Tonight I'm meeting with the printer about invites. I was thinking of putting a few more items on the response card.

Basically, I want to put 2 more lines at the bottom asking if people will be staying in the hotel, and/or using the shuttle bus. I was thinking of putting.

In order to better accomodate our guest, please check if you will be

___Reserving a room at the Viana Hotel and Spa

___Using the complimentary shuttle bus to the Riviera

I've never seen it done before. Is it tacky? I really have no idea at this point who will and won't be staying.

I personally don't think it's tacky. I wish I had thought to do that, because I know it will be a matter of me having to hunt everyone down for their answers!

I'm not a fan of it. I think its asking for TMI. Not to mention, some people might not have made their hotel plans by the time they send the card in. Most hotels will send you a list of guests who have booked in the block if you ask them. For my block, I get an updated list once a week. Based upon how many people book rooms, I will estimate how many will use the shuttle (most likely all hotel guests will).

It might not be necessary... If you reserve a hotel block, the hotel will be able to give you a list of who has made reservations when you get closer to the date. You can also see if they can ask people when they check in if they plan to use the shuttle so you can have a count for that too.

I agree that it is TMI. Some people may check that they will stay at the hotel and not book and some may say they aren't and later decide to. To get the most accurate info your will have to check with the hotel to see how many people book rooms.
