I did 6 weeks and very glad I did. I got responses up to a week ago- a month away from the wedding.

i made mine 1 month before that what my hall said. and i mail out the invites today so hopefully i will get them early!!!!!

I used Sept 18th.. I guess that's about 3 weeks.... I figure most people respond pretty quickly (right?) and depending if they were on my list or my FH's - depends on who will follow up with them. I vote that they will mostly be his...
