do you think that is an open invitation to put more people down?

Re: response wording????
I'm not adding that to my response card. Lots of people do though... I guess it's a personal preference. IMO that opens it up to people thinking that there is an option as to how many people they want to bring.

IMO yes... That is why I didn't add it.

For me, everyone over 18 is being invited w/ a guest anyway, so I assume no one is stupid enough to put down 3 or more if they were invited 'w/guest.' I really put # attending so that I know whether the single people are choosing to bring a guest, b/c some won't, and to find out how many members of a family w/kids will be attending (e.g., parents might come w/o kids though kids are invited).

maybe to people who don't read how it's addressed to them. I didn't have one person put down additional people, whether I invited them with guests or not, and I didn't invite any kids. Maybe I was lucky but i think most people understood that we were going for small.

Don't assume because a couple of people put extras on my response cards. Then it makes it an uncomfortable situation

I dont think Im using 'number attending'
Id rather call and ask if they are bringing a guest instead of saying you cant bring x amount of extra people (like uninvited children or something)

Re: response wording????
i put 'we have reserved __ seats in your honor' and then # attending line so they were clear they needed to put in a number equal to or less than what i reserved for them haha.
