Catering Hall
The Watermill – B
The hall was decorated beautifully. Food and service was good. However, our matre’ de was horrible. He was rude, inflexible and completely unprofessional. Too long for explanation. However, he interrupted me and upset me during the wedding, in order to involve me in a dispute that had taken place between him and my mother…where he was 100% WRONG! Some of my guests arrived 10 or fifteen minutes before cocktail hour was scheduled to begin. The room was still being set up, which was a little disappointing. My bridal attendant, Melissa, was GREAT! She couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. Made me feel like a princess.
Photography
Jeffrey Studios – A+
The photographers were professional, charismatic (got a bunch of grumps to smile and pose for pics) and cooperative. They put an enormous amount of enthusiasm and effort into their work and it shows. These guys were great and they stayed up until the last minute. They were non-intrusive, but some how were able to get a zillion shots. Can’t say enough good things about this group.
Music
Tommy Tunes – C
I have been to several weddings, where Tommy Tunes did a fabulous job. My wedding was not one of them. I was sent an MC, other than the one scheduled for my wedding. He forgot to give out the majority of my give aways, forgot to do most of my music requests and his timing was horrible. My conga line was started about 30 minutes prior to the end of the wedding. Most of my guests were gone by then. It was sort of embarrassing to conga with 10 guests left. I was very disappointed
Hair
Sam Jons of Levittown, Maria – A++++
Maria’s prices are VERY reasonable and to put it simply, she’s awesome!!!!! She comes right to your home and is just wonderful…prompt, patient, relaxed and very talented. She does the BEST up do’s.
Make Up
Emily Rose – A
This is a Watermill house vendor. The make up came out great. Emily came to my home and was prompt and professional. Just a tip, one of the selling points is that Emily will come back to Watermill and touch up make up for Watermill brides. However, there was some confusion on this point, on the day of the wedding. Make sure to get this in writing prior to your wedding.
Limousines
All Star – A++++
The staff was prompt, friendly, enthusiastic and courteous. The cars were clean, modern and comfortable.
Travel Services
Liberty Travel of Levittown – C
Several problems with the airlines, hotels and cruise line, as a result of Liberty Travel’s failure to communicate properly. We are in the process of resolving our dispute with them.
Printing
Printing With Panache of Deer Park – A
Pat at Printing with Panache is creative and moderately priced. She does a wonderful job with invitations, programs, favors, napkins, matches, etc. Very cooperative too! If you can imagine it, she can make it!
Rehearsal Dinner
Captain Bills – A+
The food and service was fabulous. Pricing is fair. One of the best parts of the whole wedding was this dinner. The room was beautiful and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They took care of everything.
Lodging
Holiday Inn Express, Hauppauge - A
The sales staff was friendly and professional. Pricing is reasonable. Also, when 10 rooms are booked, they will provide free shuttle services for guests, to and from the reception.
Danford Inn, Port Jefferson – C
I spent my wedding night there. The hotel over booked on the day of our wedding. When we arrived at the hotel after the wedding, it took more than a ½ hour for us to be given our room. The front desk was in the middle of a loud dispute with two other sets of brides and grooms, who had also booked bridal suites and were being turned away. My husband had checked in and left our bags in the hotel, prior to our wedding. Therefore we “won” the room. Our suite was lovely. However, my heart went out to the other two couples.
Wedding Attire
Formal Nights of Deer Park – A-
Most of the tuxes fit…just a few minor problems. Prices are reasonable. They offered flexibility on pick up on drop off. Friendly, cooperative staff.
Adrianne’s Bridal - A
I bought my wedding gown from them. Pricing is a little high, but the staff is knowledgable, reliable and friendly. They did a beautiful job on alterations.
Bridal Suite of Huntington - B
Bridesmaid dresses were purchased from them. Pricing was reasonable. Most of the alterations were fine. Some minor problems with a few of the dresses. One of my flower girls had a hole in the back of her dress, which was not discovered until an hour before the wedding. One of the matrons on honor dresses was too long…dragging on the ground.
Bagels
University Bagels of Farmingdale – A+++
We gave out bagels at the end of the wedding, as one of our favors. University Bagels pricing was very reasonable, the bagels were delivered on time, were fresh and the presentation was nice. Made a big hit! They also catered an in home brunch on the following day. Great Job!

They handled catering for an in home brunch on the following day. Prices are reasonable; they deliver and set up. The food is delicious!
