Can you guys recommend some good places to eat in Cancun. I am a big Italian Food fan But I am open to everything

Every year my fiance and I stay at the Omni in Cancun.
There is a restaurant there called DaVinci's. It is Italian and is probably the some of the best Italian food I have ever had.
It is a little expensive and you need to be dressed up but I think worth it.

We went to a great place on the lagoon side, outside, very intimate and beautiful (can't remember the name, but it was probably about 5-7 miles down from the start of the strip)l...look around, those types of restaurants are the best in Cancun since most of the tourists end up at the chains (or at least that was our experience).

the best food I've ever had in Cancun was at a restaurant stop off they take you to on the way back from Chichen Itza. they have authentic yucatecan food and it is great. i've climbed up that pyramid 3 times already just to have the food at this little place...all the tourist buses go there, but it still uses local flavors and ingredients in many of it's offerings...and I've never gotten sick.
