Restaurant reception

Restaurant reception

Hi ladies,

I'm interested in having a reception for 110 at a restaurant. I want the reception to be a big party! Does anyone have any suggestions as to restaurants in NYC, Brooklyn or LI that are eclectic and large enough to have a party? I'm at a total loss!

Thanks so much and happy new year to all!

Re: Restaurant reception

i checked out a couple of restaurants in the city but they were out of my budget - just an FYI, they charge a hefty fee to close the place for a private party - i guess depending on what day of the week is your wedding, you may be able to find a reasonable place.

There are lists of RHs/Restaurants here - I'll bump it for you. Also check out Locations Magazine and online.

Goodluck!

i agree...this is actually much tougher to pull off than you would guess. For that size, most restaurants would have to close you pay a very high fee. Unless of course, you are willing to do it on a saturday afternoon or Sunday.

That said, a lot of people have thier wedding at Bubby's brooklyn. They do more a lunch crowd so they can close for dinner. beautiful views of the sklyline too. My mother couldn't get passed the name! i think the menu with beverages ranged from like 80-100pp.

BAM (brooklyn acedemy of music) is great too, if i didn't throw work parties there i would have done that

In addition, if you do want a big party, many of the restauarants can't accomondate a dance floor even if they can sit everyone.

Maybe a club would be better? They are usually pretty cheap in the earlier hours.
