Right now my two faves are The country house in stoneybrook and Trumpets on the Bay.

The Bayport House but i also love the CountryHouse very nice went to my christmas party there

my fave is La Paella on 9th...btw 2nd & 3rd aves...

very romantic...great sangria...tapas...paella and mood...but a little expensive

Nick D'Angelo's in Merrick is fabulous!! That'st where I got engaged.. you can have him call up in advance and they can do something special...like my bubba did!

MOST romantic place EVER in NYC has to be Chez Esaada.. I referred my friend to go there to propose to his gf and she still can't stop talking about how beaufiful the place was..

They are known for their LI duck (which is Amazing!!) They also have a variety of options, mostly steak, lamb, fish, seasonal specials, etc. I would say its great American food with an eclectic twist. Very pretty country-victorian decr too!
