Restaurants...
Me and Fh 3 year anniversary is coming up next week, we usually go to a really nice restaurant, something different then the casual and usual Fridays, Cheesecake factory ,etc, Last year we went to a German restaurant, the year before to Japanese. Does anyone have any suggestions in Nassau , beginning of Queens or the beginning of Suffolk county?
There was a good restuarant in Queens I think it was a fondue restaurant, does anyone know if it is called The Melting Pot?

The Ivy Cotage in Williston Park. The perfect place to celebrate an anniversary!! The address is 38 Hillside Ave (516)877-2343. I'd call & make reservations. They are usually booked on the weekends!

Re: Restaurants...
Congratulations! We love Il Tuscano (in Douglaston) and Stresa East (in Woodbury). Excellent Italian.
One of my friends raves about Coolfish in Syosset. Haven't been there yet.
Tease in Roslyn is another place that friends love. I believe they serve all appetizer sized dishes-fun to get a bunch and make a meal of it.
I haven't been to the Parkside in ages! Is it still good? My cousin's Grandpa used to take us there, then next door for to watch the bocci players and eat lemon ices.

Re: Restaurants...
Parkside is still good we were there on Sunday and hand the chicken francese and fried calamari, it was very good. I forgot all about Il Tuscano, I went there with hubby in the 'early' days and that was very good!I can't imagine waiting 3 mos for a reservation at the Parkside, it's good but 3 mos is a bit, IL MULINO in the city is suppose to be 'to die for' italian food and I hear that's a wait. I called several times to make a reservation and all I ever get is a busy signal.
The Family Restaurant in Forest Hills is pretty good but it's a very nosey atmosphere.

Re: Restaurants...
There is also a good steak place in forest hills right off austin street. I think its 71st street. Its called Sante Fe. They have steak, chicken, fish and great appitizzers. The dessert is big enough for 2 people. I usually get the steak with 2 stuffed lobster tails and it really fills you up. It comes with a salad, bread, vegetables, and a potato (stuffed, mashed, etc..) The service is really great, the waiters and waitresses are really nice, it doesnt take forever to get your food, and the atmosphere is very cozy.
