Restaurants near Centerport?

I'm lame, so for my bday this friday we're going to the Planetarium and to dinner. What's near Centerport? We have picky guys so it has to be either Italian, Mexican, or a burger-type place. Suggestions!!

Well, the old Viva Juan, which was in Huntington on 25A, burned down and then reopened in Centerport near the thatched cottage - do you know where that is? The restaurant is still there ... it's mexican, did you say you wanted that or didnt?? Haven't been there, though. I think they have karaoke on Fridays.

And then there's the Mill Pond House, or the Inn at Mill Pond .. next to the mexican place on 25A too ... EXCELLENT but pricey, so if you got a sugar daddy, go there. Don't even read the below.

If you don't have a sugar daddy:
In Huntington, there's a ton. Pancho Villas is Mexican and delish (ooh I sounded like Rachael Ray, remind me to NOT do that again). FH Riley's on New York Ave (110) is also great ... Pomodoro's is also excellent ... (italian, not related to pomodorino) and Rockfish is good, which is the restaurant on the other side of Finley's. Honu is terrific, and I've heard that Osteria de Mimo is great, too .. and Besito, which is 'fine mexican dining' (no burritos here) is also supposed to be great.

Hope that helps!

I didn't know that! Explains why they are both so good.

Heather, Piccolo is also terrific - went there for my firsty vday with FH - but $$$. Sal D's across the street is good italian too, though, for less - it's on wall st. If you got the cash though, go to Piccolo's or Mill Pond! Mill Pond has a bit of everything, including terrific steak.

I think there is some sort of steak house right across the street from thatched cottage in centerport.

Im not too familair with Centerport, but Huntington Village has alot of good restaurants. Honu is appetizer style and they have great food and drinks but if your with a picky crowd it may not be the best spot. Besito has really good mexican.
