Restaurant/Venue in Queens

Restaurant/Venue in Queens

Hi everyone!

I need help finding a location for a reception on a Saturday. I'm new to planning and everything is overwhelming (as I'm sure many of you know).

From what I gather, a restaurant will be slightly cheaper than a catering hall but limit open bars to only a couple of hours. True or False?

My guest list will be about 60 and my budget is as low as I can go! Maybe $5000. Is that unrealistic? Nothing extravagant. Just simple.

Can you offer your advice?

Try La Villa (on Crossbay) or Villa Russo (On Lefferts Blvd & 101st Avenue).

You can also check out Dante's in Astoria I think for a Sunday before a holiday my friend got quoted less than $55 a person with open bar the entire time.

I think you mean Roma View on Crossbay not La Villa

Also if you want to have 60 people or so I think Lenny's Clam Bar's upstairs room can hold that

There is Joe Abbrencmetos [spelled so wrong] on woodhaven blvd I know they do wedding there too

Thanks! Good stuff here.

I just read from Villa Russo's website that they have a small party package of up to 65 people for about $50 per head. That can't be beat, eh? Or is that naiive thinking?

I've been there for a few weddings so far so I'd like to try venture elsewhere.

I'm interested in Roma View and Vetro. I'm going to have to inquire. For those that have experienced these places, how's the service and price?

Heard very good things about Roma View.

Also, check out King Umbertos in Elmont. I'm not sure what their prices are.. but their food is amazing and I know they have a party room that is seperate from their restuarant.

all of these places mentioned are good choices, how ever, the only one that will give you the best price is Villa Russo, just based on numbers. I have all of the their numbers in front of me (Punta Dura is about 2 blocks from my house and although they can squeeze 60 people in there, it would be a bit tight and you would have to share with other customers.)

Villa Roma, on a saturday with a full Venetian Hour is under $55 pp.
Their food is great.

Vetro's is owned by Russo's on the Bay and is spectacular - but way more expensive.

Roma View is really nice. my cousing had her bridal shower there, but they are a bit more pricey.

Are Roma view and villa roma different? They're both located on Crossbay?

I googled villa roma but results came up with a Catskills location. Thats a tad bit far

Luigis on Union Turnpike in Glen Oaks. That was my original plan before I realized I could have a wedding place. Good luck
