The wedding was UNBELIEVABLE and far exceeded any of our expectations - AT the wedding my friends kept saying, 'Ohmyg-d! This is amazing!' But since we've been back from the honeymoon i'm underwhelmed with how little my friends have been talking about it - nothing! The only things some friends have said is that one of the single men there pissed them off. Wierd, huh? ANy similar reactions? My friends are mostly single so i'm thinking they could be/might be jealous?

Re: Returned from wedding and friends being wierd
It might be a jealousy thing or maybe thats just the way they are? They could be 'wedding'ed out' and probably talked about it alot while you were away.
Sorry I can't relate b/c my friends still talk to me about my wedding all the time!!! I think its mostly b/c that was the last time I saw alot of them

Re: Returned from wedding and friends being wierd
I was in a girlfriend's wedding recently. Hers was amazing as well. I told her about it at the wedding and maybe the next time I spoke to her I mentioned that it was very romantic . Other than that I haven't said anything. I was not trying to be mean or insensitive. Actually, if she wanted me to say more about it I really didn't know.
JMO: Maybe your friends feel like they've told you how nice it was already. But if you feel as if it is jealousy, maybe it is.

You have to remember that your wedding was the center of everything for YOU and your DH. It's NOT the center of everythign for everyone else. Now, I don't mean that to be mean, but they probably all talked about it while you were on your honeymoon, and by the time you got back, the buzz was already done with. Did that make sense? A friend of mine felt the same way with her family. They didn't even really mention the wedding when she got back from her honeymoon. I think we just expect everyone else to be as psyched as we were, when in reality, there's no way anyone else could really see our weddings as being as important as we do. Don't worry. I don't think they mean anything by it. I think they probably think they told you enough. Once you show them your proofs and your video, all that buzz will come up again

I don't know about jealous...if it was jealous they wouldn't have made any comment - even at the wedding (and I had that happen with my DH's SIl, so I know).
I agree with Rachel...they probably talked about it and the buzz is over. It's been almost 3 weeks!
We returned from the HM wanting to hear what people had to say (mostly friends and family) but it seems that my mom and DH's family were excited while we were away. My mom made comments when I would call her from the HM and then nothing...the buzz dies. We're hoping to re-start the buzz next week, when we show up with our proofs! And again, like Rachel said, once the video is done people will re-live the day and it will all be good again.
But...OK having to agree with Rachel again ...the wedding is a HUGE deal to you and DH, not really to anyone else.

Our friends don't talk about it much- probably because it wasn't THEIR wedding! We can't stop though!

Re: Returned from wedding and friends being wierd
Most of my friends are married or were, but they haven't talked about it too much either. A little bit, it hasn't been out of conversation, but not so much.
They have been asking me about my honeymoon though, and since I have more to say about that at this point, the lack of talk about the wedding hasn't bothered me.

Re: Returned from wedding and friends being wierd
that sounds like my situation, pretty much - most of my friends ARE single, and the married ones are talking a lot about the wedding, which is nice. they do mostly ask questions about the honeymoon, whcih is good. maybe i have been too sensitive about this issue all along....thanks, girls.
