Returning Wedding Dress....Sad story
Two of my best friends have decided last year to get married. We thought they were happy until last week, 3 monthes before the wedding, he leaves. My question to you guys is, im trying to help her salvage some money, which most is lost and he didnt pay for anything...... can you return an unaltered wedding dress? Any other ideas as to how to return things? thanks in advance

Ebay
There are a lot of wedding dresses being auctioned off on Ebay, try there.

Try EBay
I would try the bridal salon first - you never know they may have a need for it. If that dosen't work I would try E Bay. I purchased several items for my wedding on E Bay. My headpiece, gloves, pew bows. There are always lots of gowns listed.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I'm not sure if they will accept it, but it's definitely worth a shot. My only other suggestion if they don't take it back is to perhaps try ebay...good luck...and I hope it all works out...

Returning Wedding Dress....Sad story
Maybe the shop will take it back at half cost and sell it on a contingency basis. That is a terrible thing he did. Most catering halls will keep the money but in the future it could be used for her wedding or another party. I know someone who was going to get married and they called it off. The catering hall let her use that money toward her wedding a few years later.

I would call the bridal salon first. They may take it back since it is unaltered. Or eBay. Also, make sure that she calls all of her vendors and cancels asap so they do not charge her for any other services. For what it is worth...I was once engaged (almost 7 years ago) and we mutually decided it was not the right thing to do. We called off the wedding and it hurt like hell. But I did find love again and this time, with the right guy for me. Please tell your friend that she will get thru this difficult time. I promise her that.Welcome New Vendors
