Reveal

Fiance and I are having ceremony and reception at the same venue and would like to attend cocktail hour so we will be doing a reveal prior to the ceremony when we see each other for the first time. Anyone else doing this and how exactly are you going about it???

yes. we are going to be downtown northport, so we will use either the pathways to the gazebo or the actual gazebo somehow (there's only 1 set of stairs tho....)

also have seen the docks used, with the groom waiting at the end and the bride walks up and taps him on the shoulder

We did this!! We were supposed to do it at Venetian Shores but they had damage due to Hurricane Sandy so we did it at Argyle park 2 1 1/2 before the ceremony. It was perfect :)

We are doing this too. We are either going to do it before the ceremony at the place or we might go take pictures down at the beach/dock beforehand. I want to enjoy my cocktail hour too :)

a lot of peope tried talking me out of the reveal but i loved the idea..we had so much fun with our bp before hand--and it also gave me and DH time to be together before the crazyness of day!
lauren1802 idk if u r familiar with northport harbor..but word of advice from experience ;) make sure you are all on the same page..that your limo and your photographer and u guys all go to SAME gazebo LOL!

We're definitely doing a reveal! We don't want to miss all our yummy cocktail hour food! I have watched a few videos online and they're so cute, I can't wait to see his reaction me :)

We did a reveal and it was amazing. I walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. As he turned around the pictures were like in slow motion and i love looking at them to see each second reaction. Also the BP was in the background of the pics and it was nice to see their reaction also from the pics.

We're doing a first look for exactly the same reason. We haven't really worked out the logistics, but our RH and photographer know, and we'll have some of the grounds before the ceremony. This is becoming a lot more common, so your photographer and BM should be able to help you.

We are also doing a reveal. Our photographer and videographer work closely together and coordinate it perfectly based on what I've seen. We'll probably do it at one of the gorgeous areas our venue has for photos!

we are doing that at old westbury gardens. then riding to fox hollow in a Bentley together all alone. I can't even imagine not seeing him all day until our ceremony so yay for doing a reveal.

We want to do a reveal as we want to enjoy cocktail hour. Plus i think its better that the first time you see each other that its only the two of you there for that special moment. We may still do more pictures later outside if there isnt another wedding as i would like daytime and twilight/evening photos.

We are doing this as well. Not sure of the details yet - its still a long time away, but this is becoming more and more popular!

We are paying for 95% of our wedding ourselves - I am NOT missing a minute of it for pictures!
