Revel in Atlantic City

Has anyone been to Revel in AC yet? I picked this place for my bachelorette party, because it is the newest hotel in AC, and I'm looking for recommendations for dinner and bars and clubs.

any input would be appreciated :)

Revel in Atlantic City

I went last month and will prob be going there for my bachelorette party too. Its beautiful! But everthing is spread soooooo far apart. The casino floor is 3 escalators down from where the main lobby is. From the main lobby you need to take an elevator to your room. We went to HQ, another place I am planning to go during my bachelorette party and it was sooo much fun but crazy crowded. I am planning on getting in touch with a promoter we met there to try and get a deal on a table. IF you go to HQ BE SURE to drink Before because the drinks are so expensive. I was also told by a friend of mine who had been there before that laying by the pool (they have both indoor and outdoor) is really nice too. We also went to a restarunt there which was DELISH..I believe it was called One....Keep me posted as to how it goes!

Revel in Atlantic City

Are the restaurants super expensive? Is HQ the club there?

I'm trying to decide between Revel or Borgata... haven't been to either but have been to Tropicana, Trump Taj Majal and Harrah's.

Revel in Atlantic City

I have not been to the Revel but reviews from friends have not been positive.
I recommend the Borgata. There is something for everyone and they are good with comps. We got a free room recently on a Friday and I couldn't tell you the last time I was at the Borgata.

A great restaurant in Revel is LUGO- It's Italian, very good! A bit pricey...

I also heard good things about Mussel Bar in Revel!

I like Borgata more! Two great restaurants in Borgata are Old Homestead (steak) and Bobby Flays

I am not sure about the other restaurants but One is kinda pricey and Yes HQ is the club there. I think its the only one. I am also considering borgata as well. I didnt like Mur Mur the last time though....it was dead. The Trump has great suites too!

Borgata is amazing! I'm not a fan of the pool and the fact it's not on the beach, but for the dinner and nightlife it's definitely top notch!

The Borgata was double the price for the room on the date we wanted, and I just had my cousins there in June so we wanted something different.

I have heard very good reviews from friends. Anything that stood out saying why they didnt like it?

Revel in Atlantic City

I was just at the Borgata this weekend and its really nice. I was also there for a Bachlorette party last summer. The one thing that I hate about it is the SMOKING! The place reeks worse and worse. Even the non smoking rooms had the smell of stale cigs. The Revel is non smoking, so if smoking bothers you, that would be a point in Revel's favor.
The other thing is that the crowd at the Borgata gets really rowdy, loud, young and drunk after about 11pm on a Saturday. I am sure the Revel is probably the same, but I dont know how it compares.
The Borgata is really good with comps though, I agree

Well, it certainly seemed that way! A big bunch of people were sitting at machines for hours with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths... wasn't too attractive. And I say that as an ex smoker! LOL
I think the Revel has financial issues. Apparently, they are badly in debt and opening during the worse economy in decades was not a good thing for them.
