Review of Riviera Show Case

Review of Riviera Show Case

It was a nice time and worth the $5. They had two stations set up for Cocktail hour service of food. The line did get long, but worth waiting for. The pasta station I believe was the best. For you fish lovers, there was a sea food boat theme. One thing I didn't understand, is why they were serving sliced italian bread with cream cheese. We took it thinking it was butter to spread on the bread, but turned out to be cream cheese My fav. food was the sweet & sour chicken, beef teriyaki, tortellini alfredo. Desert offered cake, jello, fruit, pastry, cookies, and ice cream bar. All was good. The vendors were all very helpful and didn't attempt to be pushy. Each of them were promoting the others, no bad mouthing of the others. The band that played was good and the DJ really didn't give much of a show. I am interested in looking into the DJ though, because they are offering a lot for a reasonable price. A nice video company was 'Classic Video' Fran took the time to speak with you, very friendly, and answered all our questions. Their sample video was nice as well. A cute favor idea company was there. The candy bars with the wrappers. I liked the idea of putting a wrapper around the Tic-Tac Box. WWW.wrappersrus.cjb.net There were 3 photographers there: Frederick, Patken, and O'Conner. All had beautiful books to view and answered any and all questions. I did find though in some pics by Frederick were off center shots and one had the 'exit' sign of a door in the center of the pic. I know of Photograpers that are able to make those kind of things be gone when printing up your photos, so that was a turn off. Overall it was a nice show. You were able to tour all the rooms and view the bridal suites and out side was lite up with lights to see the grounds. I give it an 'A'

I thought the show case was great. Definitely worth the 5 dollars. the food was really good, i loved the pasta station and the sushi and raw oyster bar as well! i thought the band was absolutely great! but i am going with a DJ... Then Till Now, there were there last night (not performing) and my photo was also there.. Patken, and Vinny is the photographer taking my pictures. The place was set up beautiful, and it was getting crowded. Just proves that you can definitely fit 150 people in there. Cant wait for my day there!!

I agree with you both, the showcase was good. The band was amazing, I was going to book them and I found out that they were booked for my 7/17/04 wedding! that was the only wedding of that month that they were already booked, and that is the 2nd time I wanted a band that was booked! I have no luck at all! I am going to keep looking, but I hope I find another (available) band thats as good as them. Good luck to all and I hope to keep in contact with other Riviera brides.

Thanks for the recommendations. I placed a call to Full House today, and I have to call back tommorrow. I hope they are not also booked! Is your wedding date the same as mine? (7-17-04) If not than I will call times square also! Thanks again
