So FH and I have decided were gonna cancel our RH. They don't want to work with us and its too much money and too important of a day to not get what we want. I definately want to keep my date 5/12/12..and I already picked out my channa plaque lol
Where should I start??? lol I know I still want on the water and im figuring prob 120-130 guests and I dont want to go over $120 p/p (not including tax etc)
I saw Riviera and was ehh.. not super impressed, but I may go back again.
I aslo think I'm gonna check out Lombardi's on the Sound too.. does anyone know their pricing for a Saturday in May???
Any other suggestions????
TIA Girlies!

A sat in may is gonna be crazy high!
Lombardis may work w you but 130 people is really the max you should get in there otherwise its gonna be really cramped.
What about ofc?

Re: RH
Im not sure the sat in may makes most places super high esp if theyre on the water. id just call and ask. I think its more than lombardis.
Btw we went to lombardis on nye and the food was amazing! They had a mashed potato bar that was unreal!

Re: RH
I checked out Lombardi's on the Sound for well, the same day! But I got prices for the day wedding not at night. The only thing I didn't like about Lombardis (besides that the woman showing us around could have given a crap about us) was that the area for the cocktail hour was awesome overlooking the water... but then when you go into the room for dinner you lose the sights. Except that shouldn't affect a night wedding, you would have the sights for the cocktail hour when there is still sun, and then when you go inside for dinner, you don't need the windows to the water.
At least thats how I see it. Every place I looked at for our day was a day wedding, but all the prices were practically the same, but that was the only other one on the water. Everything else I looked at was heading out East.

Tetelove stole my suggestion. There are so many on the water...Riviera as a whole is really ehhh, but the outside area is . That's actually why I love it. Chateau Le Mer has that yacht arrival which is great for photos! There's an on the water thread on here somewhere.. ETA: You're still looking to get married at the hall right?

What about Captain Bill's in Bay Shore?? I'm not sure how much it is per plate, but I saw the room done up for a wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL! (I was next door for a bridal shower in the other building - I would have considered it but it's just too far away from where I live and we have a lot of guests from NYC coming.

I agree about the outside of the Riviera. We liked the inside, too, but it wasn't really going to hold 200 people. The other place on the water that we really liked was the Thatched Cottage. Not sure what their prices are for a Sat night, though, since we looked at Sun afternoons.
Yes I'm still looking to get married at the hall, preferably before dark lol
CLM is on my list of places to check out. I was hesitant bc my brother was supposed to get married there a few years back and his wedding didnt happen but FH wants to check it out
I'll have to check out Thatched Cottage too!

Captain Bills is nice, but you are right I really want to have an outdoor ceremony.. plus if I had my wedding there my dad wouldn't give me any $ towards my wedding, he has issues with Captain Bills bc they took over his boat parking lol

Re: RH
I was looking for places on the water as well until we moved out date from Aug to March, and Chateau la Mer was the best place. The outdoor ceremony sight was beautiful and although FH thinks its cheesy to come enter by yacht I think it is great!
I heard that the food is amazing. They do two weddings at a time and for Sat. in Aug I was quoted $105pp.
Hope this helps!
