RH

Original post by FutureMrsGTL

So FH and I have decided were gonna cancel our RH. They don't want to work with us and its too much money and too important of a day to not get what we want. I definately want to keep my date 5/12/12..and I already picked out my channa plaque lol

Where should I start??? lol I know I still want on the water and im figuring prob 120-130 guests and I dont want to go over $120 p/p (not including tax etc)

I saw Riviera and was ehh.. not super impressed, but I may go back again.

I aslo think I'm gonna check out Lombardi's on the Sound too.. does anyone know their pricing for a Saturday in May???

Any other suggestions????

TIA Girlies!

I was looking for places on the water as well until we moved out date from Aug to March, and Chateau la Mer was the best place. The outdoor ceremony sight was beautiful and although FH thinks its cheesy to come enter by yacht I think it is great!

I heard that the food is amazing. They do two weddings at a time and for Sat. in Aug I was quoted $105pp.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!

I got quoted $75 pp in May 2012 at Chateau La Mer

I really liked CLM, but I really have a problem with halls that show you around while a wedding is going on. That really bothers me. When they showed us around, they took us into the CH room while the ceremony was going on and we were in the windows looking down in the guests faces, they were looking up at us too! I was mortified! The BM walked us through the bride's already set up room where my niece actually touched a piece of bread! ! They took the bread out and gave it to her but I was kinda done after that. That was my only problem with CLM, which you could probably work out for the day of, I just couldn't get past it. I'm a brat though so...

yuck i hated that too. I never saw the CH either bc of a wedding that was there. Do you want that happening to you on ur wedding day?

I looked at Fri May 4, 2012 for that price. He mentioned the palm trees come the 1st week in May and I wwas thinking there could be a chance I didnt have any. and honestly thats what makes everything look so nice. PLUS the outside was great but what happens if it rains!

OFC runs $130 for a Sat. night wedding. I love everything about the place. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the staff there, they are wonderful. I can let you know how everything else goes in 2 weeks :) :)
