my priest wants to try and do it the wed before - we are getting married on a sunday....isn't that weird?? i odn't want to sound mena or anything b/c i know he is busy but ew!, a wed night rh dinner??? everyone goes to work, or lives out of town and will have to ocme toit?? it can't work!!!

Not entirely unheard of. If you were getting married on a Friday, they would probably tell you Wednesday. My best friend had hers on a Wednesday night and all of ther cousins from NJ, Brooklyn and Staten Island all came. It should work out fine. If all of your bridal part can't come, then I would suggest talking to the priest about it. Other than that, Wednesday is normal.

I am getting married on a Saturday and my RH is on the Thursday before. They are usually during the week a few days before the big day.

My wedding is on a Saturday and I am doing a Wed. rehersal. I actually chose to have it on a Wed. If you let people know far enough in advance thry will plan accordingly.

Ask them if you can do it on Thursday or Friday. Tell them it would be better for you because you have to work. Your paying for it !!!

I have four out of town BM's . I booked it for the Thursday before in hopes they will all be here by then. Tell the priest you BP will not all be able to be there on a Wed.

they will usually only do it on mon - thursday - between weddings & christenings & baptisms.... those are the only days available usually for the rehearsals!

Sounds about right. Keep in mind church choirs practice in the church and also smaller masses are held in the evenings depending if its during Lent and so forth. My wedding is on a Friday and our rehearsal will fall either Tuesday or Wednesday depending when the choir has practice.

I would mention that you have out of towners that won't be able to make a wed RD...and ask him if there is anything you can do to change it to fri or sat
