RH Drama

RH Drama

Sooo me and FH have only seen 3 places- Land's End, Riviera Massapequa and CLM

if money wasn't an issue we would have booked Land's End on the spot.

if it was up to me, CLM would have been booked a month ago lol

FH really wants a 'one wedding at a time place' but we haven't come across one that he has agreed to see or one that we like in our price range

just a little side info- FH was in the wedding business for about 10 years and has been to pretty much every single RH on Long Island and knows all the ins and outs of them- so he is VERY VERY picky!

we've been engaged since november and been together for over 5 years so I am itching to pick a place already!!!!

I really wanted a vineyard wedding- but the prices we got have been out of our range...vineyard caterers gave us great prices but FHs brother got married there 5 yrs ago so he says its out.

Today FH said, let's just book CLM this week(we do love the place and the food)

question is...should we keep looking? or should we just jump in and book CLM- great price great food great hall

originally we wanted an oct 2010 wedding and were going to book oct 1 2010 at CLM but they gave our date away- so if we book CLM it will be late april, early May.

sorry for the long rant but you girls are the only ones who are educated enough to help me out on this one!

FH & I looked at about 10 RH's before we finally saw CLM.. as soon as we both walked in, we knew that was the place.. We went for the taste testing in December with our families and they fell in love with it, just like we did..

Well we finally booked at CLM last night.. and we couldnt be happier..

I also looked at the Riviera and loved that place too, that was my second choice, but we have almost 200 guests and i felt it was too small for the Riviera.

So I vote for either one. But leaning more towards CLM

You should really book the place that feels right to the both of you. If you are having doubts then maybe you should think about it a little more.

Oh that is a good day!!
If you have any doubts then you should definitely look around more. Don't settle because then you'll have regrets. Just pick a couple of more places to look at and see if you still feel the same. Good luck

Re: RH Drama

The only reason FH & I booked at CLM was because as soon as we walked through the door we turned to each other with big smiles and said this is it... We knew that was gunna be the place and we havent doubted it yet,. After the 10th hall, our search was over because we both got the same 'this is it' feeling!!

So if you are unsure I definetly say keep looking until you know for sure what you and FH both want and love! Good Luck!

FH and I both got that feeling too right when we walked into CLM!!!! It was the second place we looked at. I wanted to check out a few more. We missed a lot of appointments due to that snowstorm a few weeks ago, but we went to two more and just felt we should stick with out gut instinct and book CLM. We loved the food tasting and we are happy with out choice!!!!

Good luck. CLM is a great venue. If you want though, look at a few more and then see how you feel.

I love the Rivera. FBIL got married there 2 years ago though so that is out. My parents wanted me to get married at Land's End, but it is TWICE the amount of CLM!

agreed.. i booked previously and rushed thinking the world was about to end..so now we are back to square one .. since FH didnt like our 1st choice..... i think we found the 'one' now since its the only hall we keep talking about since the 1st time we walked into it..

please dont book, just to book.. you will have regrets.. i know i did.. but thank goodness for the LIW ladies.. im doing my search again.. ( downfall: by next week when i booked, i have to go into with the possibilty that the dates i want may be taken)

i have 5 2011 dates just in case..

Hey,

CLM is an awesome hall. If you are still looking you may want to try Thatched Cottage. My FH and I had CLM in our top hall list, but then when we walked into thatched cottage we both looked at each other and said this is the place. They do one wedding at a time there and it is cheaper than Lands End. Good Luck!

Re: RH Drama

i've been to CLM and they have really good food and service, but if you've only seen 3 halls then i would just look around a little bit more until you make your final decision, just to make sure that your RH is definitely the one for you both. good luck!
