Thanks for your responses to my previous post. I visited Crest Hollow Saturday evening. I thought it was lovely but need to go back for a tour, as there were weddings going on.
I have scheduled appointments at the following RH this weekend: Chateau Briand Surf Club Terrace on the Park Leonards of Great Neck Floral Terrace Glen Island Harbour Club
Spoke w/ Chateau La Mer, they cannot accommodate more than 350 guests.
Any thoughts on the RH I will be meeting with? What other RH do you think I should visit? Any likes and dislikes about the places I will be visiting this weekend?
Looking for a RH which can accommodate b/w 400-450 guests on a Sunday night end of July or early August.

Re: RH for 2009 Wedding - Still need to Book!!!
you might want to check crest hollow country club - they have a room upstairs that's huge that they usually separate into 2 smaller rooms, but has a wall that they can take out.
also jericho terrace might be able to accomodate you, westbury manor might be able to fit, but it'll be tight in the manor room with that many i think. im pretty sure chateau briand can accomodate that number as well NYIT deseversky can not accomodate that many for a sit-down dinner.
good luck!

i have been to Carlyle on the Green, not for a wedding but for a big event, and thats pretty big and i think it holds a lot people. sorry i am not too informative, but i went there for a work party and there about 500 people there. it was really nice.

What $ range are you looking at pp? Oheka is huge but very very very expensive. Garden City Hotel is huge but it is pricey as well. Did you look at the Woodlands? They run about $130/140pp.

Re: RH for 2009 Wedding - Still need to Book!!!
Carlyle on the Green - My company has our annual after tax party there ...so it was never a consideration + they are way over our budget
Chateau Briand - I have an appointment with them on Saturday
Crest Hollow - visited this past saturday. After we visit more RH we'll have to decide how it compares
Westbury Manor - according to their website they connot accomodate the number of guests we are having
Jericho Terrace - out because of reasons I stated earlier in the thread
Spoke with Glen Island, Fountainhead and Surf club and they are around 120/pp...so they are out
Price wise we are trying to stay at or under $100/pp. We may decide to go a little higher depending how much we love and want the RH. For a summer wedding it's a stretch but after talking with some of the Banquet Managers over the phone I know we will def find something.
Thanks ladies for your help...I'll update on my search after my appointments this weekend.

Price wise Chateau Briand is amazing. It's so beautiful and the price is reasonable. It was my 2nd choice for RH.
