FH & I went to see two more places today...Hamlet Willow Creek and Bellport Country Club
neither are options at this point...
I feel so frustrated and feel like we are never going to find a place. We got engaged in november, have been together 5 years, were talking about the wedding months and months before the engagement and I feel like we should have a place already!!
there's only 2 more places left to see tomorrow and then im all out of ideas!!
did anyone else feel this frustrated with their RH process?
we want one wedding at a time- something simple and classy- think country club style
so far we've seen
Land's End Woodbury CC Chateau La Mer Captain Bill's Hamlet Willow Creek Bellport CC Riviera Massapequa
must have an outdoor ceremony area
any suggestions? I know I had a similar rant before, but hoping you ladies can help one more time!
oh, going to see Timberpoint CC and Hamlet Windwatch tomorrow
TIA!

Check out The Inn at New Hyde Park. It's one wedding at a time and they have a beautiful outdoor area. You can choose to have cocktail hour indoors or outdoors depending on when you would like to have your wedding. The food is amazing and the ambiance is really beautiful. The bridal suite is huge. The only thing is they make you guarantee a lot of people. If that's not a problem then you really should look at it!
I second the Inn

We had our reception there and it was fabulous. they have 2 rooms one larger and a second which we used that can hold up to about 120. they are on opposite sides of the building so if they did have 2 weddings it might not be a problem.
I put together a sileshow in my video lib if you'd like an idea of what the place looks like.

Re: RH frustration!
Chateau Briand has an outdoor area for ceremonies. Good luck. I feel your pain - we saw 13 places and then finally went back to the 2nd place we saw, which was Chateau Briand.

Re: RH frustration!
I am having the same issues! I want an outdoor ceremony that is beautiful ie flowers, water, etc. I also want somewhere that is beautiful inside with great food. And hoepfully all for a reasonable price! I looked at Hamlet Willow Creek and liked the inside but unfortunately there is no outdoor ceremony spot. I LOVED Lombardis on the Bay which is right on the water in Patchogue. We went and saw it last summer. The room is gorgeous, but it is not huge. I dont know how many people you are planning on having. I havent been back yet but they were also supposed to bild a glass cocktail room right on the water as well. I have also heard that the Vineyard Caterers is nice. Good luck. Please let me know if you have any luck! I would love to hear if you have found anything :)

If you dont mind me asking what was the price range for Vineyard Caterers? Do they include everything or are there things that you need to supply on your own? I am looking for probably a Friday in summer 2011.

Re: RH frustration!
I had the same issue! I went to so many places : Westbury Manor Woodbury Country Club Lands End Swan Club Lombardis on the Sound Jericho Terrace The Beach Club Estate Thatched Cottage Villa Lombardis Lombardis on the Bay Giorgios
We wound up booking with Villa Lombardis for many reasons. We wanted to originally get married in may but it was way to expensive at alot of places. They are known for there reputation. When you pull up there it is beautiful and it is soo immaculate inside as well. I originally wanted the whole outside cocktail hr and all of that but in the end I just got so frustrated bc it is exp to get married in a warmer month. Villa Lombardis does have two weddings at one time which i didn't love but what can you do. They really offered us so many things that other places said was extra. There food at Lombardis is amazing! I would go there just to check it out!! Hope this helps! In the end you may have to change a few things to stay in your budget. I found this very hard since i always pictured many different things than what i can afford. You just have to think its 5 hrs i need to pick the place that i will like the most and just go with it. You are always going to find something you hate about a place such as small things like carpets but I learned There are only so many places and it comes down to picking 1 which is very difficult. I hope i calmed ur nerves a little.

Re: RH frustration!
Dd you try the Snapper Inn? It is on the river, has an outdoor area for weddings, one wedding at a time and is very reasonable.
I have pictures in my album and FM me if you have any questions.
This is probably the most frustrating part of planning a wedding but you'll get there! Good luck!

Re: RH frustration!
check out woodlands. i wanted to get married there so badly, but the dance floor was too small for my party. beautiful ceremony space!
carlyle on the green?
also royalton or carltun, but they're both on the pricier side.

Re: RH frustration!
Hey- I was frustrated too. We went looking for country club atmospheres. We wanted good food and water those were our stipulations.
We looked at a lot of places, but we loved Lombardis on the Sound. You can have an outside ceremony I believe there.
