RH frustration!

Original post by LoveyDovey

FH & I went to see two more places today...Hamlet Willow Creek and Bellport Country Club

neither are options at this point...

I feel so frustrated and feel like we are never going to find a place. We got engaged in november, have been together 5 years, were talking about the wedding months and months before the engagement and I feel like we should have a place already!!

there's only 2 more places left to see tomorrow and then im all out of ideas!!

did anyone else feel this frustrated with their RH process?

we want one wedding at a time- something simple and classy- think country club style

so far we've seen

Land's End
Woodbury CC
Chateau La Mer
Captain Bill's
Hamlet Willow Creek
Bellport CC
Riviera Massapequa

must have an outdoor ceremony area

any suggestions? I know I had a similar rant before, but hoping you ladies can help one more time!

oh, going to see Timberpoint CC and Hamlet Windwatch tomorrow

TIA!

The Carltun is really nice. If you need price quote, FM me :)

is it one wedding at a time?

Yes it is and the place is stunning with excellent food. Check out the pictures in my album.

Re: RH frustration!

North Ritz Club
Thatched Cottage
Crest Hollow (if you don't mind more than one wedding)
Swan Club (not sure if ceremony is indoor or outdoor, and could possibly have another wedding there at same time)

We were having the same problem. We wanted a 1 reception place really badly. I loved the NRC. We settled on crest Hollow bc it was in our price Range and we only had to have a 150 min for a saturday.

Did you Try Millerage Inn. They only have one at a time. they have 2 different menues , silver and gold. they were pretty well priced too between 70-100 pp.

try sandcastle if you're still not set on something! it's one wedding at a time and has an outdoor space!

what about Majestic Gardens?

I second MG! that was my #1 choice...

I totally understand what you're going through.. FH and I went to 17 halls and contacted SOOOO many others, even ones off of long island.

are there any specifics you want?

my big thing was the height of the ceiling and the dance floor.
I wanted chandeliers... but not clusters.

Good Luck!

Check out the Sans Souci in Sea Cliff - one wedding at the time, pretty grounds w/ views of the water!!! The inside is so pretty with all the windows looking out to the water.

It could fit 150 perfectly!!!!! They also offer some great packages...

I'll just add I love The Woodlands too. I think it's a little more pricey (but I'm sure that depends on the date and time) but Carlyle on the Green and the Bourne Mansion are both gorgeous also.

If you guarantee less people, they may just charge you more per person. it might be worth asking.
