RH Frustrations, Please Help!

RH Frustrations, Please Help!

Hello!

I'm having the hardest time finding a venue and although I'm only recently engaged I found I'm late to the game for a Fall 2013 wedding. My must haves are - Fall 2013, one wedding at a time, 100-125 people, ceremony on site and a Saturday.

I've called, researched and visited so many places from Suffolk to NYC and either the minimum is 150+ or they have no Saturdays available in the Fall. There were a couple that were available but I just did not like the layout at all so if I wind up doing it at either place I feel like I'm settling.

I still have to look at the Royalton, Village at Lake Success, Carltun, Carlyle on the Green, and Vanderbilt Mansion. Do you have any feedback on those?

Off the list are:
North Ritz Club
Crest Hollow Country Club
Fox Hollow
Woodbury Country Club
Thatched Cottage
Woodlands Mansion
Deseversky Mansion
Woodside Acres at Muttontown
Lombardis on the Bay and Sound
Chateau La Mer
Riviera
Crestwood Manor
Timber Point
Bourne Mansion
Woodlands on the Green
Flowerfield
Sand Castle
Swan Club
Glen Cove Mansion
Antun
Ariana
Chateau Briand
Floral Terrace
Garden City Hotel
Leonards
Jericho Terrace
Milleridge
Metropolitan
Westbury Manor
East Wind
Larkfield Manor
Majestic Gardens
Watermill
Windows on the Lake
Mediterranean Manor
Old Field Club
Venetian Yacht Club

I mean, come on! That's like all of them! I'm so frustrated, do any of you have any other suggestions? FH is not willing to do a Friday, I'm not willing to do a Sunday.

Thanks for any help!!

Wow...that's a lot of places off the list lol. Pretty much every place I visited you have on the no list. Did you look into Captain Bill's Bayview House? That might be something to look into. I'm sorry I'm not much help - especially since my RH is on your no list lol.

The list you have here price per person covers a big range. Do you know how much your willing toy per person? Some of the halls you have listed will tell u the price per peron on the pone.

Sans Souci does 1 wedding at a time.

MattandJess - Sorry! Either the date is booked or there's some other reason for it. Nichelmus - money is not an issue, the places I visited are $85-$200. The biggest issue is meeting the minimum people. And the venues that will take such a small party are the ones that I didn't fall in love with. Thanks sandr325, I didn't think of that!'

The next thing we are going to do is going to look into 'beach' type places and maybe move our date up a little to the warmer months. That's not the vibe I wanted, but I don't know what else to do.

i looked at both Carlyle on the Green and the Carltun--i think their minimums will almost definitely be more than 125-- i don't remember the exact mins they gave me but i want to say it was DEF over 150, prob more like 170?

I know for most places Saturday is the day their minimums are the highest so you might be in a tough spot. I am having mine at Bridgeview Yacht Club but my minimum is 200 as was the minimum pretty much every other place I looked for Saturday night (Inn @ NHP, Cresent Beach Club, North Ritz, Chateau Briand etc.) Have you tried Waters Edge in Long Island City? Beautiful views and their minimum was definitely less but I can't remember exactly what they quoted us. If you like the city vibe its definitely an interesting place to check out. Good luck!!

I got married at Bellport Country Club on a Sat night. I think the min is 150 but that was during the summer and it may be lower in the fall or sat day. You can have an indoor/outdoor CH and it is one wedding at a time.

I have never been to Carlyle on the Green, but a couple of my coworkers got married there and they loved it.

Have you tried the Inn at New Hyde Park? My cousin had her reception there. It was beautiful and the food was great. Russo's on the Bay is another place known for their food. Good luck!

i looked at carlyle and they offered a lot but i believe their minimum was higher than 125. i'd double check though!

you should also look into the view in oakdale. it's a smaller venue, so it might work out!

Have, you checked the Stewart Manor Country Club? Not sure if they offer on-site ceremony...but I thought this place was very pretty. We couldn't go with them because I felt the room was too small (w/ a guest list of apprx 200). We also checked out The Royalton...the main room was a little on the plain (and small) side, plus it was out of our budget! But overall I was sort of impressed. Very happy with my pick though :) Good luck on your search!!!

Carlyle on the Green had a minimum of 200 people for a saturday night in september.
You may want to look into the Hamlets- Golf and Country Club in Commack or the Hamlet of Willow Creek. They are one wedding at a time. I'm not sure about the minimums.

Try Sunset Harbour in patchogue. its def on the lower end of your budget and my minimum is only 130 for a sat night in nov. outside ceremony space is very nice and easy to spruce up and there is a dock right there thats great for pictures!

Crest hollow country club is amazing but more than 1 wedding at a time

Inn at NHP has a 200 minimum in off season so I'm pretty sure they wouldn't bend much in the Fall. I think they only have 1 Saturday left in 2013. what about Douglaston Manor? Or Coindre Hall?

I'm booked at Carlyle, and I looked at the Royalton... I can't say I remember what the minimums were but we were guaranteeing 200 for a Saturday night so I'm not much help. I loved both though so they're worth looking at for sure.

Water's Edge quoted me about 180 pp for a Saturday in June. It wasn't exactly what I was going for but it was a really, really cool place - also definitely worth checking out! Daniella was very helpful.
