RH help

RH help

I am wondering if y'all can give me some places to look. I have already started looking at halls, and have quotes from 57-100 per person for a sunday in January, but FH is freaking out right now because he has no clue how we are going to pay for anything. We are both students, and Only work part time right now. I have been to the following places

Leonard's of Great Neck
NRC
Fox Hollow
CLM
The Riviera
Westbury Manor and
Jericho Terrace

I am hoping to stay under 20k, but we may only be able to afford around 10k.

Does anyone know anywhere else to check that may be less expensive? We like Fox Hollow, but it would put us near 20k by the time we get everything else. Its causing stress between us, because I want to try and lock in a low price, and he feels bad because he cant afford to contribute anything (he can barely afford rent and bills).

Should we find somewhere cheaper, or just wait and see what happens, and hope the prices stay low.

Thanks in advance

Re: RH help

How about Douglaston Manor or Floral Terrace..I think their prices are reasonable.

Maybe try Verdi's in Westbury.

Re: RH help

The lowest quote I got was $55 in February at Westbury Manor. You might want to try a restaurant also.

Re: RH help

I second Douglaston Manor cause I know its pretty inexpensive and also maybe think about your guestlist. Maybe you can lower that and that could help with your budget.

Re: RH help

I'd say you should call:
Douglaston Manor
George Washington Manor
Manor East
Ariana Waterfall
Coral House
Louis XVi
Brentwood CC
Verdis
Windows on the Lake

some of these places have an all inclusive package. Usually like 100ppl for $10k and includes the food, Dj, photo/video, flowers etc

Re: RH help

If your really looking to save money maybe you can try to book around a holiday, my sister did the night before thanksgiving at Eastwind and got a really good deal, I don't know if your flexible with your date but that might help!!

have u looked at Brentwood Country Club???? They have an amazing package deal for 10K which includes a LOT...(limos, flowers, dj etc.) - and the place is REALLY nice. My friend just got married there this past summer and it was beautiful...and i was SO impressed with the bar and the food. Everything was great!

Check Coral House.

I second everyone who mentioned coral house and swan club. Both were affordable and very pretty. Also, if you do an afternoon wedding it is less expensive.

Re: RH help

I've never been to a wedding there but I believe the Stewart Manor CC is inexpensive

I would check out the brentwood country club. I hear them on the radio all the time about you can get almost everything for under 10K.

What about Watermill and Swan club, they both gave me great prices for Sunday day

Re: RH help

Try the Coral house, The Memorare club (which is a knights of columbus but it's a full service catering hall in Seaford) The Knights of Columbus in Oceanside is also a full service catering hall.
HTH!!!

Re: RH help

It also depends if you're able to do an 'off' night- Thursdays are much cheaper than the rest of the week and they're becomming more and more popular
