so we went yesterday to see the Woodlands but even though I love the land scape and all the green the inside wasn't as nice as i expected. it's nice, don't get me wrong, but old. and i don't like the chairs but i can fix that with chair covers. i like the place because it's roomy and people can go outside to hang out or eat during the cocktail hour.
so those of you that have seen it, what's your opinion?
and if you haven't seen it i need suggestions on RH's. something in nassau county please.

NRC definitely!!! They are wonderful I checked out the woodlands and even though i thought it was gorgeous it just wasnt for us either. I've been there for work parties and the food is so delish! However, I didnt like the way the ballroom was set up. I didnt think it would fit all my guests

Re: RH help
OK, i checked out the woodlands too...and although i really liked a lot of things about it... there were also things i wasnt crazy about (the wall mural in the walk way where the stairs are)...the carpet was frayed and old etc.
I was actually was pretty decided on North Ritz...and when my apt from WM came up, I didnt want to go bc i was hung over from a friends bday party LOL...but my mom MADE me go, and i fell in love. It had everything i wanted from woodbury but didnt 'feel' You can take all of your pics in their gardens ...so many options... they let you come as early as you want...and set you and your party up with champagne, cocktails, food etc... if it rains they have a studio for pics they also offer a full outdoor CH, and if it rains you are able to do a 'walking' CH inside in three rooms!!! very classy. I also love that you can step outside of the main room which has french doors into your own private garden for the entire night. The gardens as well as the place are both maintained to very high standards. Everything is sparkling clean, and the gardens are all manicured. There is not an 'old' feeling at all. Def check it out... and eat in their restaurant... The filet minon, chilean sea bass, and the chocolate dessert are all to die for~~

Re: RH help
I am a Westbury Manor girl all the way...but I must say this. One of my bridesmaids was married there on 12/31/06 and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Of course it was a winter wedding and the opposite of what you are having...but I Loved it. It was so classy and elegant looking... I would def recommend it! Good Luck

I am biased but check out North Ritz Club! It's very clean and new inside, I am picky about chairs and they dont need covers, it's very roomy (can have 350 i believe), you can go outside -- they have a gorgeous granite outdoor bar and lots of outdoor tables and some grounds, and it's one wedding at a time so you have the place to yourselves.
It's in Syosset and the food is delish, I just posted pix from my food tasting yesterday

Re: RH help
I liked the Woodlands, but it was out of our budget. We went with our second choice, North Ritz Club which is right down the road. Two very different atmospheres, but I was very glad of our choice.

Woodlands is nice, but I have only been there for E parties. NRC does a nice job. Also, I don't know what your budget is but The Glen Cove Mansion is BEAUTIFUL and it has a hotel too!!
