I've heard swans club is great and from Woodbury country club's website there ground look amazing. I am partial to Westbury Manor because that's where we booked but there grounds are nice too.

Re: RH help
you have to remember that the theme of the woodlands is that it's a house. so, that's why they have real dining room tables and chairs - more like a home than a catering hall. i really like that aspect and think it's charming. also, i think it's really cool that you can put family pics around the place.

I fell IN LOVE with the Woodlands because of that reason. I loved how 'homey' it felt, but it was a little out of our budget so we ended up with The Watermill, my second choice.
In Nassau I would recommend Woodbury CC, and Jericho Terrace. I went to a wedding there and the food was delicious. Good Luck!!

If you are looking for something similar to the Woodlands in price and style, you might want to stay away from the traditional catering halls.
I looked at so many places and realized there was a big difference between places that cater to more than one affair and more homey places that you get full run of.
Try: The Village club at Lake Success Woodmere Country Club (sme price sat or sun) The Metropolitan
The Royalton (which I feel in LOVE with, gorgeous gardens to have ceremony, ballroom, with all hardwood floors and Ivory walls with french windows, indoor-outdoor cocktail hour on the patio, bridal suite with king size bed to spend the night.) A must look at and a great location. Also, no pre-made menus that you must choose from. Design your own menu from cocktail hour to Viense table. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Re: RH help
it all depends what type of place you are going for, if you like the old mansion/french country feel look at westbury manor (I used to be a bridal attendant there back in college-lol) or Fox hollow (I like fox hollow more), and sawn club in very nice and the grounds are amazing however I didnt like the way there room was set up, the dance floor was in the front and all the tables were behind it, but if you are going for that long island italian girl feel (which I am-lol) look at Chateau Briand or Jericho Terrace (which is where I booked), also New Hyde park in is newly done and is supposed to be beautiful. hope that helps

Re: RH help
another place to look is glen cove mansion. my check was almost in the mail for that place, but it was just too small for us. they say they can hold up to 250, but it really starts to get dicey (seating in separate rooms) once you go above 200.

Re: RH help
Jericho Terrace, its my hall, so of course it's my choice, but seriously..it is amazing!
I was pretty set on having my wedding by the water, in fact, I only looked at places on the water, and then I figured, why not check out other places? As soon as I saw the Skylight room at Jericho Terrace, I really didn't care about water anymore!! And Robert, the BM, is soo amazing to work with..def makes a huge diff.!

Woodbury Country Club!! I got married there in November and WCC was amazing. If you have any questions feel free to fm me.
Flowerfield is absolutely stunning, but it's pretty far out. The Garden Terrace room at Fox Hollow is also very nice and Westbury Manor and the North Ritz club are beautiful as well.
