This is my first time posting and you all seem to have great advice. I am beginning to plan my wedding (yay!!) but am having a lot of trouble choosing a venue (and date)
The venues that we love at this point are East Wind, Fox Hollow and Swan Club for a Friday night wedding. I've visited others but none have been as good as those three.
Besides choosing the venue, the initial problem is travel for my guests. If our wedding is on a Friday, East Wind will compete with Hampton traffic where Fox Hollow and Swan Club won't. Saturdays are too expensive. I'm partial to Sundays but I don't want our guests traveling then having to work the next day.
What do you think?? I'm at a loss!!!

I am also an EW bride, and my FH's family is also from CT. They are all taking ferry over, and then it's only 15 minute drive from Port Jeff

I agree with MrsCastanedain09. FH and I hard a tough decision, so after we narrowed it down, we went to revisit our favorites during peak wedding time to see them in action. That is what helped us make our decision. You get a feel for what your guests will be experiencing. My only suggestion is to dress nice as to blend with the crowd and not be an eye sore for someone's big day.
