RH help

Hi! I just got engaged 3 weeks ago and I'd like to get married next fall. So far we have seen Venetian Yacht club, Watermill, and Villa Lombardis. I'm going to see Flowerfield this weekend. We both loved Watermill, but before we book, I was wondering if there are any others in suffolk worth going to look at and what your experiences are with these venues. Thanks so much for your help!

Re: RH help

it really depends on what you are looking for..

if you liked Villa Lombardis.. you may want to check out Lombardis on the Sound and Lombardis on the Bay.. owned by the Lombardi family, but both of them are on the water.

if you like the mansion feel, check out Bourne mansion (my venue), Coindre Hall, or the Woodlands (right on Suffolk-Nassau border).

I've heard really good things about Giorgios and Thatched Cottage as well.

good luck!! choosing a venue was prob the hardest decision for me lol (i looked at 10)

Re: RH help

I liked the Watermill when we went to see it - but ultimately we fell in love with East Wind - so it depends what exactly you're looking for. If you can give us an idea of what you want, some girls here may be able to give some more suggestions!

Thanks everyone!! I loved the feel of the watermill and Venetian yacht club. The venue doesn't have to be on the water, but that is nice :) also I need it to hold 200-250 people. And good food is really important!!

I am actually going to Lombardi's on the Sound Sunday and Bay next Saturday I can let you know. I have heard a lot of good things about them. I think the hardest thing is the venue my FH and I have so many appts all over the place, it's insane.

Wasn't really impressed by Lombardi's on the Sound but maybe because we were pretty much sold on another place. Flowerfield was amazing and ran a really close second to our choice and they can definitely hold that many people

If you have that many people the LOB is def out. LOS could def hold that many tho!

I 100% recommend Bourne Mansion- Lessings. I was married June 15, 2012 and had the time of my life. The next day our 200 guests were all calling us saying the same. Maitre d' Steve is great and so are Feggie (bridal attendant), and Ben and Jason (sales).
