I've just about had all I can handle w/ RH searching, and am about to book either Hamlet Willow Creek or Bellport CC for this fall. I like both, FH doesn't care too much for HWC but will book wherever at this pt since we're engaged 9 months! It occurred to me tonight that I should maybe call places we couldn't afford last summer to see if they had discounted rates for this fall, but I don't even want to open that can of worms! Anyway, ANY info/opinions about either would be a huge help! Have never attended a function at either. Thanks so much!

I have never been to Hamlet Willow Creek, but have been in several weddings at BCC (and was MOH at one of them), and have also been there many times to eat.
The weddings were all great, the food was good, and the brides had no complaints.
For summer months, it's nice to have the cocktail hours outside, too.
It probably wouldn't hurt to give one more call to see if things have changed, especially if you have a date this year, they might just want to book the date at this point.

Bellport CC is having their winter bridal showcase this sunday at noon. Maybe you can go there and try to food; see the rooms set up and get a better idea of their services. Also if you're looking to book 2010 some halls are offering competive prices to sell out the remainder of the year.

Same here! HWC is amazing and I can't wait to have my wedding there! My office organizes golf outings with them and we received nothing but great reviews about the service and venue!

I went to a wedding at BCC where they had an indoor CH due to the weather. At the beginning of CH there was space for people to move (although not a ton), but I guess they use part of the reception room for CH and at the last 20 minutes they squeezed all of the guests into half the space. That kinda ******. Also, there was very limited food at CH, but that may have been the choice of the B&G.

I can only speak on behalf of BCC since I haven't been to Hamlet Willow. What I can tell you so far ( our wedding is in July) is that the service I have received throughout our planning has really been remarkable. Even just today the person I am working with there ( gerard) sought out prices for some vendors for us so that we would have comparison rates and they truly work with you to help you plan exactly what you want for your wedding. I don't know many places that go out of their way the way they have so i am very excited to see how the service is the day of.
As for the amount of food at the CH, that is totally customizable by the couple, we are having a lot of food, but have the option to take things off the menu to keep costs down if we had chosen to do so.
Good luck in whatever you choose, they are both good options
Just curious...what is it about HWC that your FH doesn't like?
can you tell me how your CH worked out there??
FH & I reallllly liked the place but the CH worried us, being it was split up between 2 places

It was fine, guests were told about the outside area and there was a pathway through the main room which also blocked off the left and right sides of the main room so when people walked through to the outside they couldn't see what it looked like.,,if that makes sense!

Thanks for the input and link to your review, which I'd actually glanced at last night as well. If it weren't for the cocktail hour setup, we'd have booked (FH has warmed up a bit since his mom yelled at him for being picky and squashing my dreams lol!) You ask what he didn't like? Well let me tell you...'the molding looks cheap.' And he said the stage looked like the Muppet Show stage. Ah, the weird things guys notice. I have an email in to Barbara w/ this question, but do you know what the game plan is if it rains and you can't use terrace for CH?
