I love the old field club. My hesitance with booking is the price. 110 per person on a friday before tax and gratuity. Is there anywhere that has simple decor, maybe all wood floors, while also having good food...for less money? Nassau locations are a plus. Thanks girls.

Westbury Manor is great too. They decorate the whole front entrance way with fresh flowers and its once less expense for u. Fm me the dates u are looking into and I will give u the price list they have. Felicia is great to work with and I am so happy with our choice.
The Metropolitan has great food and the people there are so nice. We wanted our engagement party there. Fh's best friends works there and they are awesome. Good luck

I 2nd westbury manor and felicia. The decor is amazing and the price is lower than that for a fri night.

I've never been to the Riviera but I heard it has that rustic charm that old field club has with the rafters and wood floors. They are also on the water.

I recommend the Riviera at Massapequa and the Milleridge Cottage. Both have a similar style to OFC. Before FH and I booked OFC we were strongly considering the Milleridge Cottage because the price pp was less than OFC. HTH!

Try Stewart Manor country club in Stewart manor, next to floral park and New hyde park.......I had my reception there and it was great

I am having my reception at The Metropolitan in Glen Cove. The food is amazing. They let us do a tasting before we even booked with them- the food is what sold us. The only downside is that they don't have outdoor grounds to take photos, but they are getting us a permit for Morgan Park which is a 2 minute ride away and on the water to take our pictures. Good Luck.

We looked at OFC and liked it as well, but also found it too pricey (especially since they wouldn't let us taste anything).
So, I'm gonna third the Metropolitan. Nice people, great food, beautifully understated room, and bonus: it's a one-event place. You'll be the only wedding there. Definitely give it a shot.

The Old Field Club will allow you to go to a member dinner which is on a Friday night and if you do book your wedding there they deduct the cost of the dinner from your reception bill. We went to the dinner & found the food to be better than some big restaurants (I'm a foodie :)!!! We knew we were going to book it before dessert came & they never charged us for the dinner. The food selection is very different than your standard CH fare. You should look into that before booking somewhere else. OFC is so beautiful!
