OK- we visited our last round of places and we still do not have a clear choice.
We loved Swan Club, but our wedding would have to be: 7-7:30 ceremony 7:30-8:30 cocktail hour 8:30-12:30 reception
YIKES!! That is LATE!
Chateau La Mer was great but if it rains we are getting married in a chapel right out of Vegas. That is a big concern to me...

im very partial to swan club. i think wedding guests expect to have an evening reception...i say if you love swan club, do it...

Im getting married at CLM...didnt think it was 'right out of vegas' at all actually....
Also, my ceremony starts at 7:30...

12:30 isnt late, i had mine until 1:30am...to end it at 12:30am is fine...most weddings ive gone to end at 12-12:30am. Trust me you wont want the day to end so it will be fine

I prefer things to be a bit more simple..somehow when i think of vegas i think of lots of lights and gawdy...they dont usually have it set up if there isnt an affair in there...usually the florists bring flowers to decorate and all...i found it to be the most tasteful of the indoor places i had seen.

That makes me feel a bit better about it. I really liked the place, I thought it was beautiful and the menu was INCREDIBLE! The chapel was my ONE THING that I did not love.
But, maybe I can look at it again with new eyes...

1230 isnt that, late thats the same time mine ends! and my ceremony is from 3-4 so i have a lay over but i have no choice bc thats my church and the only time lol

chances are it will be nice out anyway since you are getting marrie din the summer time. I really thought the chapel was very pretty and classy looking. You can always add to it if you are unhappy with it. But for a 25 minute ceremony locatin I wouldnt give up all the awesome stuff about CLM...the food is AWESOME>..wait til you taste it

welll for a wedding it looks different, they have it just plain if nothing is going on...but your florist will decorate...go to brides review forum and look at brides who had ceremony at clm and how it looked the day of...also the wedding of the year 2 years ago they had the ceremony at clm so look at those pics

I recently went to a wedding with the same timing at the Swan Club and it was wonderful! 12:30 is not that late.

sorry for totally crashing here but i have to say that we got married at the swan club and i couldn't recommend it highly enough! honestly if i could just gush and gush and gush, i would! i think the timing of your wedding is fine and your guests will definitely stay that late! it goes so fast you won't even realize it's 12:30! SWAN CLUB all the way!!!!!!!!!!

sunday at 12:30 is fine. that's how my cousin had his and everyone stayed. they were actually upset cause it was ending. i'm doing my ceremony at 6pm. CH at 6:30-7:30. and then the reception from 7:30 to 12:30.

That was my feeling too. We are only having 110-125 people so if people leave- it will be noticeable.

i went to 2-3 weddings on a sunday that ended at midnight and just about everybody stayed
