I am looking for July 2012, preferably a Saturday night. I originally wanted water front, but more for the view. I don't want anything too 'ruggedly' beachy. Our favorite so far has been Carlyle on the Green but it's a little pricey. I like it because of the all wood floor, LOTS of windows, great views, and the fact that it is open and airy for the Summer. Does anyone have any suggestions of something similar to look at that might be a little less?
We've look at Lombardi's on the Sound, and have appointments at Lands End and Venetian Yacht Club. Looked at a few other random places that don't really suit the description too.

Re: RH Suggestions
FH and I both liked Timberpoint and Coindre Hall. We ended up going with Coindre Hall in Huntington. It is absolutely beautiful! You can see the bay from the dining room. At Timberpoint you can see across to Fire Island which we thought was really nice feature. We are also getting married in July and we decided to have a Friday night wedding to cut some of the cost down.

Thanks. You are probably right about the cost being different because it is only 6 months away, and possibly because it is April. I think we should still be able to negotiate them down a little though. I am bringing my FMIL there tomorrow to get her opinion. Hopefully she likes it! In the meantime we are looking at Flowerfield today and have canceled our 're' appointment at Carlyle for the time being since we now might have a new favorite!

My bosses daughter got married at flowerfield and they loved it there. I was not there but I saw pictures and it was beautiful. I also know it was not cheap

Re: RH Suggestions
Wasn't a fan of Flowerfield. The grounds were beautiful, but the inside was not my taste. Apparently August was cheaper than July there too? That's good news since we've decided on early August now! So right now it's Royalton or Carlyle. Bringing FMIL to them tomorrow!

Ok, I think we're all set for The Royalton! We are on hold, but will officially book next weekend when we can get the parents in there. Any other Royalton brides out there that want to share in the planning process?

The Royalton was amazing from start to finish! I cannot say enough great things about the place and the staff. You get top quality service there - my husband and I were super impressed!!! Our guests are still raving about the food and the service! HTH!
