RH Suggestions

RH Suggestions

I am looking for July 2012, preferably a Saturday night. I originally wanted water front, but more for the view. I don't want anything too 'ruggedly' beachy. Our favorite so far has been Carlyle on the Green but it's a little pricey. I like it because of the all wood floor, LOTS of windows, great views, and the fact that it is open and airy for the Summer. Does anyone have any suggestions of something similar to look at that might be a little less?

We've look at Lombardi's on the Sound, and have appointments at Lands End and Venetian Yacht Club. Looked at a few other random places that don't really suit the description too.

Chateau La Mer downstairs room is beautiful, Venetian Yacht Club was amazing.

Two of my cousins got married at Lands End and both parties were amazing and everyone who works there is so nice.

Re: RH Suggestions

Thanks everyone. Our guest list is actually at more like 220 right now, so 200 is what we are estimating to actually attend. Old Field Club is definitely too small. Carlyle quoted us $185. Was anyone able to negotiate them down? Lands End has only quoted slightly cheaper, and Caryle is in a better location for us.

Re: RH Suggestions

Did anyone see either the Royalton Mansion or the Inn at New Hyde Park? What did you think? Are the comparable to Carlyle, and does anyone know pricing for a Sat evening? Thanks!

Re: RH Suggestions

Looked at the Inn at New Hyde Park tonight, and Carlyle is still our favorite. A little concerned because our appointment at Venetian Yacht Club is not for another week and we have a date on hold at the Carlyle (only for a few days). Since my fiance is a med student and studying, we won't have time to formally look before then. Anyone have pricing for Venetian and/or thoughts or impressions?

Re: RH Suggestions

Venetian is very nice... it is however BUSY (meaning print carpet and gold everywhere) I happen to really like the place but it wasn't THE place for me. If you like that style then you might want to wait to check it out. I was quoted $100pp in March but the guarantee for Saturday night was 200 people.

My friend is getting married at the Royalton in Oct. 2011 and it is GORGEOUS!!

Re: RH Suggestions

i would def rec the Royalton

it is my 2nd choice after Carlyle on the Green
love both of them!

however pricing is not that much different
for a sat night in 11 I believe it was 185 pp!

BUT the royalton's menu doesn't need any upgrading- everything is included even VH- completely custom menu from soup to nuts, menus, monogrammed towels, hospitality hour

Re: RH Suggestions

We are SO torn. Saw the Royalton tonight and liked it ALMOST as much as the Carlyle. However, we like the banquet room more at the Carlyle. The personal attention, price package, and additional facilities (bridal suites, etc) seemed much better at the Royalton. Help!

Re: RH Suggestions

Thank you everyone. I'm surprised to hear that quote for a Saturday evening at the Royalton. Did you negotiate that down? We didn't even want a sushi bar, but the price they quoted us for a 200 person guarantee on a Saturday night with a Viennese hour and the seafood bar was $195 pp.
