RH tight Budget Mar. 2012 Wedding. Pls help!

Hi. I'm new to this so hopefully it makes sense... We are looking to get married on a friday night in early march 2012. There are many reasons why we need this time frame. We aren't having more than 100 ppl, I'd like it even smaller but it's not possible. We are paying for it ourselves. We are hoping to pay $65/pp plus tax and what ever else, so no more than $85 a plate total. We live in mid nassau county and would like to stay around there. *Also, we need to have the ceremony on site. Since it'll be cold outside the place should have a decent atmosphere to take pictures indoors. Neither of us are picky by any means. I don't need to be the only bride there because as far as him and I are concerned, nobody else exist anyways. I plan on doing whatever I can myself.

I'm mostly looking for some input on reception halls and prices, what to ask, how much can we bargain, what should be included, how much extra do gratituities run?

Clearly this is off season and on a Friday night but does anyone have an idea how much these places will cost us?

**Hopefully we'll like one of the first three enough to not see all of these, but when you're on a tight budget then you do what you have to do...

The places we want to go look at are:

The Swan Club
North Ritz Club
Westbury Manor
Carlyle on the green -(pricing may be too high)
Bridgeview Yacht Club (further than we want)
Chateau Briand (if first 3 listed are no good)

I am having a wedding in January so I got off season pricing. We booked at Fox Hollow and were priced $59 for a Friday =)

We visied The Riviera, and were quoted similar, I think about $66 for a Friday.

Then we saw Crest Hollow which was $64-- but I wasn't too crazy about the rooms.

Both Fox Hollow and Riviera would be really nice for indoor pics.

We also saw North Ritz Club but didn't meet with anyone so I didn't get pricing- but it was really nice in there.

I've heard nice things about Westbury Manor-- and I do belive Caryle is a bit more expensive.

We looked at Swan Club and the March pricing was about 85 pp without taxes and gratuity and the lowest menu. Fox Hollow was about 68 pp in March without tax and gratuity with no add ons. The ceremony was 750. Maybe you would want to look there? I REALLY liked it and the price seemed very fair.

ETA: and you get a complimentary hotel room for the night of the wedding.

WM gave us an amazing price for a sunday afternoon wedding, I would check them out!! I am not really sure if it will be anywhere near your budget though. If you want to spend $85 a person, your pp would have to be in the $50 range. They will be difficult to find. You might want to try a brunch wedding. Good luck, if you want to know how much WM is per plate fm me.

Look up the Sans Souci of Sea Cliff and Stewart Manor Country Club. I recently saw on their websites that they have a winter wonderland package which sounds great and affordable. It's valid Dec. Through March.
I visited the sans source thus far and it is quite nice, overlooking the LI Sound and 1 wedding at a time.
