RH weekend

RH weekend

alrighty ladies,

so i saw swan club first on saturday, it was nice and the price was decent, we liked that the cocktail hour and ceremony will be climate controlled indoors and all green and glass and stuff, plus, price is a plus (70s)...but the feeling that another wedding can be happening outside our room is a huge deduction

then we saw westbury manor on sunday morning, AMAZING! the BM harrison was nice to us, gave us breakfast and drink and showed us around, we loved everything, and it smelled so good! the only thing was we're concerned about the price, its so far the priciest...but it seems like they would be willing to help us find a good date and time if money was the big issue...definitely big contender...we're grouping it in the definitely maybe column with fox hollow

cresthollow - quite frankly they gave us an AMAZING price, the grounds looked nice, but i wasn't thrilled with it... maybe i went in not expecting to like it much and i have been to a wedding there before and it really does have catering hall feel to it...the outdoor cocktail hour and outdoor reception would be nice... but the indoor stuff i'm not crazy about.. the menu was alright but wow the price was good 60s!!!!

i can't wait till we're done with picking a place, this is so hard!

Re: RH weekend

i'm glad you are having a great experience picking a hall. It's just one of those things that could be stressful but really is more good than bad. It is hard to pic a hall. I am glad that you liked WM. Yes it could be expensive but the choices you get are just so many compared to other halls. You can also pick up your lines which is great and the meal selection is great as well. Trust me they will work with you with the price FH and I were so pleased with how helpful they were and how great the price was after negotiations. Fox Hollow is gorgeous gorgeous but FH did not like it at all and I didn't want to pick a hall that FH didn't like I wanted both of us to like it even though they say that it's all about the bride. Not to me I love to know on my wedding day that he is pleased with what we chose. Good luck with your hall picking!! we almost went with Jericho Terrace but Westbury Manor gave us a great deal although it was still more that JT but that's the hall we fell in love with! GOOD LUCK!!

Re: RH weekend

actually there was another downside to westbury manor, was that we can't have the ceremony there if we have an evening wedding on sat or sunday...only fri nights...
we don't belong to a church or anything so that was going to be a problem...but the chapel area was so pretty at wesbury manor we're considering a friday for this purpose only lol...

i am glad you had a good experience at WM. Definately talk to them about the price - they should be helpful with that.

Definitely keep looking, I kind of regret not looking more but I was happy with my choice.

Like you, I wanted a place that only had one wedding at a time but I went with Fox Hollow. They have things down to a science there and I have no concerns about another wedding going on.

Good Luck!!

Look at as many as you can. We looked at 20 before finding the one. I suggest you look at Jericho Terrace- its amazing!! (Of course I'm a little biased!!)
