Hey girls..i can really use some help. I have my pocketfold invites from the printer, and i just picked up my rhinestone buckles today from manhattan. I have the ribbon. Okay so my question. I have the buckle on the ribbon but how did you fasten the ribbon to itself? Glue dots dont seem to stick well to ribbon so im wondering does hot glue work?? Please help!

Hey Denise...first of all, i hope you feel much much better!! I was so sorry to hear of your misfortune today. As for the double sided perm. tape, did you just overlap the ribbon on top of eachother or did you fold both ends into one another?? im going to assume overlap because that seems easier.

Mine is going over the invite too. I was going to do a test run of actually folding it along the pocket fold and attaching it to the pocket rather than attaching the ribbon to itself (if this makes sense) i think i really just need to play with them a bit and see what happens. Im on limited time (because of my schedule) so i have to figure it out this weekend and then hopefully get them all done and out next week (little early i know but i have a ton of out of state/country family plus its graduation weekend for high schools).

Do it both ways and see which works best. I am not doing a pocketfold so not 100% sure exactly how youre doing it, sorry im retarded right now

oh wait i think i get it. Ive seen many pocketfolds where they attach the ribbon to the pocketfold itself.

Yeah under the flap wrapped around and then to the square part...once again im not making sense right now either. Ill try both ways...hopefully the easier way looks the nicest lol. Probably wont happen lol. Ill be complaining this weekend while im putting the ribbon on all 150 of them.

Re: Rhinestone buckle/ribbon invite help

my invites were done by pippys sweets. She included a box of 'ZOTS' in large. They are the same as glue dots and they worked well for my ribbon. What size width is ur ribbon?

Thats a good question...probably about 1/2 inch...thats what i was using the zots...they werent sticking to the satin ribbon very well though...maybe its because i bought them in january...idk why they arent cooperating.

hmm try using the zots on paper and see if it works well. It may be b/c theyre old.
