Have a friend who just got engaged and wants to have the wedding in Queens or Brooklyn since her Fh has tons of family from Staten Island and Brooklyn and they don't like to travel.
We're going to look at Russo's tomorrow night...do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks..we mentioned those to her too. I adore Russo's..couldn't get married there tho, bc EVERYONE in my family has had SOMETHING there, wedding, sweet sixteen, christening.

I always dreamt of my wedding being there but FH insisted it had to be on LI..... I fell in love with that place when I saw it a long time ago...well before I had even met FH. I've never been to a wedding there though.

Riviera is in Brooklyn. They have a beautiful ceremony area for a spring/summer wedding, but its a fairly small, one wedding at a time place.

The Sheraton Laguardia in Flushing is absolutely beautiful. They also have an outdoor terrace on the roof for ceremony and pics.

09er crashing.... Try Caffe on the Green in Bayside. I'm having my engagement party there!
Waters Edge in Queens. My boss got married their his pics are Amazing with the views of Manhattan.
BKLYN Botanical Gardens heard many good things about also.
How bout River Cafe Bkln Heights..... I'm partial to that.... FH & I got engaged there

The Rotunda @ Kingsborough is right off the Belt Parkway...very convenience for SI and Bklyn people.

Yea, some SI ppl don't like to leave that island for some reason...I would stick to Brooklyn because the traffic to queens will most likely be horrendous, it always is. I HATE the BQE!!!

you are absolutely right! i have complainers - JT is 40 minutes away get over it! some people drive further than that to work every single day!
