Re: Ribbon Wands

Sure! Hope this is easy to follow.

I bought 12' inch dowel rods from Michaels. They came in a package of 12 (I think)--I made 92 total. I wanted the ribbon really long, so I used 36' inches of each color, but other girls have used 30'. I bought 100 yards of each shade at MJ Trimming in NYC ($17.75 each if you buy online or mention the website price in store).
FH spray painted the rods white. Then I took a piece of each ribbon, folded them in half and hot glued the top, folded end to the tip of the dowel rod. I put another dab of glue on the outer side of the ribbon and capped with one of those white squishy caps you see on the edges of metal shelves. I got them in Home DePot. There's two sizes--the larger ones fit much better.

Hopefully this pic shows. If not, in album. THe colors are chocolate and cranberry, but looks magenta in pic

I used 12' plastic wands with curling ribbon. It was so easy once you got a rhythm down.
