Ribbon Wands

So I purchased ribbon wands for after the Church instead of bubbles or birdseed. Unfortunately, they did not come assembled so now I have to assemble 200 wands!!! The directions in the box are not too detailed, and when I email the company, they keep copying and pasting the same directions! I explained that they're not being very thorough and they told me there was nothing they can do! Despite being LIVID that I spent $200 on DIY ribbon wands, I'm now lost! Has anyone mastered such a project???? The directions basically say 'dot end of wand with glue and tie knot'

LIKE WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? AAHHHHHH!!!!

Any suggestions???

Re: Ribbon Wands

We did them - they are really easy to put together.

The directions, I thought, were pretty easy to follow.

We actually added another color ribbon, put a dot of hot glue in the middle of the 2 ribbons, laid the wand in the middle and then tied a knot around it.

If the knot is too bulky for you you can literally do the same idea - put the dot of glue in the middle of the ribbon, lay the wand down but then just press the 2 sides of ribbon together at the wand and it'll stick. That way you have longer ribbon to wave.

We kinda figured it out on our own.

I am concerned that you ordered 200?!?! are you expecting that many people at the church!!!! B/c that's a lot lol

Here are some pics:

Re: Ribbon Wands

It says to cut the ribbon 26' - Then I put the wand in the middle of the 26' and tie or just tie at the end of the ribbon?

This is where I was confused.

We invited over 300 people - we have over 250 people coming and there are additional people coming to the church. Maybe 200 was a bit overboard! lol...

Re: Ribbon Wands

I would def. cut to the size it reccomends so you get all the wands completed that you paid for.

After you cut it, you tie a knot in the middle with the wand going through the middle of the knot.

haha - yea, i think you did but now that you have them, you should use them.

did you get them personalized?? if not, i would sell like 100 of them.

We only got 50 - not everyone needs 1, it's just for affect for like 2 pictures.

Re: Ribbon Wands

Thanks! Unfortunately they're personalized! Oh well! Lesson learned! At least this was the only item on my planning list to not go my way (knock on wood).

Your explanation is great! Much easier to understand than their direcitions!!
