Ride home..to bus or not to bus??

Ok.. so the only people i really have to worry about having a ride to the reception are my bridal party, and my mom, grandma, his dad..etc. cause these are people who dont have a car and shouldnt have to worry about driving and not being able to enjoy themselves anyways... but what about getting home.. ??? obviously the bridal party will be with us in the limo and we wont have that all night.. anyone get any good prices on a bus to come home???? A charter bus like you take to atlantic city would be perfect.. but do you think it's really expensive??? also is getting one stretch limo or limo bus plus a small 6-8passanger for parents and immed. family going to be crazily overpriced??? I wanna do this as inexpensively as possible.. but somehow i get this feeling that its gonna cost us a fortune..lol. Sorry if i sound crazy.. but thats because i am... STRESSING OVER MONEY!!! lol. Thanks in advance!

sounds like a nice idea but if it's too expensive you can forgo that and set up car pools.

i am in the same boat. my parents don't drive. i have family coming from Canada that i have to find transporation for.

I would suggest talking to your limo co. maybe they can make a suggestion. maybe you can find them a ride with somebody that lives in their area?

i will let you know if i find out any info !

yea.. i'm going to have to figure something out, because my immed. family like mom, grandma, etc. are really the only ones who live in bk.. and his family dad, close cousins, etc who live nearby are mostly in the bridal party so will be in the limo with us (besides his dad of course). Our friends im sure who live here will be drinking and will have made carpooling arrangements with sober drivers ... and the rest of our family is from LI so its hard... i think next to finding the right venue for a good price this will be my second biggest challenge financially. If anyone gets any good quotes please keep me updated. thanks gals..!! :)

well... i know for ours, both sets of our parents drove themselves. i offered to get a limo for them, but both sets said they would rather drive themselves.
as far as the bridal party, they rode in the limo from the church to the reception, and then just got rides home with their dates or other friends at the end of the night. they arranged that all themselves.
it'll all work out! i think you could just figure out carpools for everybody or let them figure out carpools... you can't take care of EVERYTHING good luck!

Truthfully--- its not your responsibility for your brida; party's transportation home.... of course a really nice hgesture-- but you dont have to foot the bill....

id worry about you and your groom-- the rest is up to them!

The limo company we are going with set up a 14 passenger transportation van that will drop off our immediate family at each of their homes and a town car for me n fh to the hotel. The van is quoted at $250. Check with your limo company first, they'll probably give you a lil discount. I'm not doing anything fancy cuz at that time everyone will be sleepy and ready for bed.

Not sure where you are getting married or where these people live but......

We went to a wedding recently in Woodbury (North Ritz) and we were able to get a 16 passenger taxi to New Hyde Park (Nassau County) and it was only like $8 bucks a person. It wasn't glamorous, but affordable and just fine and dandy for all of us who didn't want to drink and drive.

We used new hyde park taxi company I think?

Just wanted to share, might help other girls with similar problem.
