Ridiculous

Ridiculous

So a few months ago I had posted about how my sister is planning on bringing her male friend (who does not like me) as her guest to the wedding, because her other friend who she brought to our other sister's wedding will be out of the country at the time of mine. I wasn't happy with this choice, but I was like whatever, I don't care as long as she completely covers theirselves. Rude, I know, but whatever, she was pissing me off.

So he was at the house a few weeks ago, and apparently he has said something to me, which I didn't hear, so I didn't answer him, and walked out of the room. So now his panties are all in a bunch, and my sister is flipping that he is going to not want to come with her because I insulted him so gravely, and that she will be guestless.

Um, please. Do me a favor and don't come.

So my mother wants me to make a big deal and apologize to him and kiss his butt, and my father is the total opposite and is like eff that, she doesn't need to apologize for anything here. He's a little leery of him as well, so he understands where I'm coming from, even though in this particular case I wasn't being INTENTIONALLY rude.

So how ridiculous is that? I mean, I want my sister to have a guest so she's not bored, but she's acting like this is the only person she can bring, and why do I have to bend over backwards to keep him placated? I didn't hear him, sheesh, he reacted like I ran over his dog.

Honestly this kid sounds like he is a freakin drama queen. I personally wouldn't apologize for something you didn't do intentionally and I further wouldn't do it, just so he doesn't come to your wedding. Two birds, one stone.

That is absurdly ridiculous! Your sister is going to be busy on your wedding day, she doesn't even need a date! I would stand my ground, if I were you.

Seriously... who is this guy??? He may be your sister's friend but he is nothing to you and I totally agree with you and your dad.. Eff him!!! He needs to get over himself and be grateful you are even letting him come to the wedding because honestly I don't even know if I would have done that much for him! Don't even stress it.. Maybe it is his time of the month or something...

this guy sounds like a DOOF! I wouldn't apologize and I certainly wouldn't want him at my wedding!! Isn't there anyone else out of the 8 million plus people in NYC she could bring??

Do you even think he will still be around for your wedding? Is she dating him or is he just a friend?

He's just a friend, so the liklihood of him still being friends with her is greater than if he was a bf. There's just something about him that I just can't put my finger on that I don't entirely trust. My sister definitely liked him at one point, and he kind of shot her down, and he's fickle and I think she's going to get hurt because she's very naive. So if he pulls crep and 'refuses' to go because I didn't hear whatever inane comment he made, he's not hurting me, I could give two less, but he'd be intentionally hurting my sister, and that PISSES me off.

He needs to get over himself. Why does she NEED a date? Im pretty sure she will be busy enough that day helping out with you and partying with family

Your sis needs to deal with this, not you. Tell these people to F OFF..

Re: Ridiculous

I agree with most of the previous posters - your sister doesn't need a date unless she's in a serious relationship.

It's still quite a few months before your wedding...with plenty more opportunities for you to 'offend his highness.' I'd stand you ground and pray that he's still pissed enough at you not to attend your wedding.

It's YOUR wedding. If you don't want him there, you have every right to tell your sister that. If he was her bf, it would be a different story.

Re: Ridiculous

ugh, i can only say don't you dare apologize. i'm siding with your dad on this one. i know this kind of drama, and honestly, there's something a little off about someone that gets SO upset over something so obviously innocent. i mean, i know you don't want drama, who does? but i wouldn't apologize. it's not like you did anything. i don't know him, but i don't like him!

Re: Ridiculous

ok honestly.. your wedding is in Dec.. and if he is going to hold a grudge for 6 months.. then I wouldnt want him at my wedding, especially when you didnt even do anything! If it was that important to him, why didnt he or your sis call you back into the room? Just kind sounds like HS drama bs, IMHO.. how old is he?

Hopefully this will all settle down by then. It's a bunch of nonsense drama for nothing! I'm with your dad!
