my church doesn't allow the flower girl to actually throw anything down as she goes down the aisle. however, i really wanted my nephew to be a trainbearer. is it lame to have him holding up my train if there are no petals on the aisle? they normally hold up a train to keep the petals from being swept up. what do you ladies think??? help!

I think you should do whatever you want!!!
My church won't let the flowergirl throw anything either... AND we can't have a runner!

Re: ridiculous question
i think it will be fine!! my church does not allow the FG to throw anything either, and we are not allowed to use a runner since the aisle is carpeted.

Re: ridiculous question
I love the idea of a trainbearer, even w/o rose petals on the aisle. I've never seen one & I'm sure it will be fabulous.

Re: ridiculous question
I think it is perfectly fine.
I did a little bit of research just now, and when defining the train bearer's role - I have not seen the words 'rose petals' mentioned at all. The definitions have only mentioned that the train bearer(s) carry the bride's long train down the aisle.
