Does anyone know the etiquette on ring bearer tuxedos? Do the ring bearer's parents pay for it? Do we pay for it? It's super expensive and I feel bad asking the parent's to pay but I don't want to pay for it either! HELP!
Any feedback would be great.. I'm really struggling with this...

Re: Ring bearer
why not let them get it from a place of their choice so they dont have to pay a lot of money? Or maybe they have a cute dark suite he can wear instead. Usually they pay for it, but if its really a lot of money, its nice to offer to pay for some of it.

Re: Ring bearer
His parents should pay, unless you want to be generous and pick up the tab for them. You can get them pretty inexpensively on Ebay

Re: Ring bearer
i believe that they should pay...you did ASK them to be in the wedding...if they didnt want the responsibility they should have declined. I think it is understood that they have to take care of the attire.

Re: Ring bearer
I don't know if you'd want to do this or not...BUT Burlington Coat Factory has TONS of little boys suits for $20-30 and they will look just as nice. I was in SYMS today looking at suits for me and I noticed they also have boys suits for very inexpensive!

Re: Ring bearer
The parents pay.
I felt bad b/c my sister is my MOH and is already paying for a dress, alts, shoes, hair, etc. So My mom ended up buying the tux and I will end up renting the matching vest like FHs from the tux shop.
Estelles has tuxes for $50. They can order them if they arent in stock ansd it takes a week. Then yo can sell it on ebay after. That's our plan anyways

Usually the parents pay for it. Instead of renting try Burlington coat factory. We got my nephew's there for $35. Also keep your eye at macys -- now that it is easter season tons of suits and probably on sale. Also there are little shops in Sayville that sell them but I not sure how much.

Re: Ring bearer
I think his parents should pay as well, BUT if you feel that it's overly expensive, maybe give them the option of buying him something cheaper... no one will care if he doesn't exactly match the groom... they'll be too busy thinking about how cute he is!!

Re: Ring bearer
i'm paying for all the RB and FG dresses (i'm having two of each) but their parents don't know that yet and they fully expect to pay. I found some really inexpensive ones online - $50 - $75 so I would shop around a little. But yes I think traditionally the parents pay

Re: Ring bearer
Thanks for the input everybody!
I really want the ring bearer to match everyone else so I guess I'll just ask the parents.. I was thinking of paying for a small portion of it also just so they wouldnt't have to pay the whole $140!!
