Hi ladies, I don't have many young children in my family ;( and it is becoming a struggle to identify a ring bearer and flower girl. I do have a little boy that is the son of a good family friend (she is like my second mom!)
The only thing is that he is going to be 9 next year!! My mom thinks he is too old and that I should just pick someone else but, I think he is only little boy that I have a connection with and would want to be in my BP.
What do you all think?

I have the same problem My son is going to be going on 9 year old when i get married and every one is telling me that he too old... But i dont care am using him...

I hate the whole 'rb/fg has to be a certain age' thing. If you want him to be your RB than I say do it!

Thank you ladies!! That is how I felt too!!! I mean he is close to the family and he is old enough to take directions and do a great job and he is cute....

loli have the OPPOSITE problem! my nephew will be 15 months soooooooooooo well c if he gets the job closer to the date.. needless to say every week im trying to make the little guy walk! haha what a great auntie i am!

OH MAN my FH and I realized we don't know any little girls! It's horrible! But my feeling is that 9 isnt too old! (heck if we knew a 9 year old girl we'd use her!) if you want him then use him!

My ring bearer & FG are 9/10 yrs old too. They're both really important in me and my FH's lives so that's all that mattered to us. You do have to look at it that at least you know they're old enough to make it down the aisle without any meltdowns! Haha People questioned us whether or not they were too old and my response is simply 'Its my wedding & I'll do what I want' lol
We are planning on having a 2nd set of FG and RB that is 4yrs old & will be 14months. So I hear you Soapgirl, I've been trying to get her to start walking before she can even crawl!

my ring bearers are young...
BUT my flower girls (I have 3) are all 8 and 9 years old.
make the kid a ring bearer.

mine wont even be two! 1 year and 11months i dont think he will make it down either thinking of having him in a wagon and being pulled by FH's cousin who is 10...so 9 isnt that bad
