The rings just get tied to the ribbon on the pillow? My ring bearer is 4 yrs old. He's going to be playing with the rings throughout the whole ceremony. I was thinking of getting the ring orb but I'm afraid it will fall off the pillow. Ayone using the orb?

Re: Ring bearer Q
I would NOT trust a young child with my wedding band. I'm not sure what an 'orb' is but I suggest you get cheap/fake rings to tie to the pillow and let your best man hold the real rings.

Re: Ring bearer Q
usually there are fake ones on there unless they are old enough to really be responsible for it...the best man usually holds them

Re: Ring bearer Q
Ok I had the same convo with FH the other day... he is insisting that the REAL rings go on the pillow, at first I was like NO WAY!!! I want 'fake rings' put on it... but basically our 'REAL' rings will not be there for the ceremony anyway... so now it doesn't matter since we are just buying cheap rings for the ceremony. Personally though I would put fake rings on it and give the rings to the BM.

Re: Ring bearer Q
what if you have 2 best men? I wonder how my FH will figure out who will hold the rings without making the other one look less like a best man.

I thought you put the real ones on as well so don't feel bad. Pretty sure my brother's RB had the real ones. Now I don't know. Getting married on a dock so probably best FH holds onto them anyway. Safer that way.

okay I feel better! If you're on a dock...DEFINITELY give RB fake ones...that's just asking for disaster!

Re: Ring bearer Q
FH once told me when he was in his brother's wedding, the RB was young so FH had the rings in his pocket (he was the BM) and the RB carried the ring box (empty and closed) on the pillow. Just an idea if you don't want to get fake rings.

Re: Ring bearer Q
My ring bearers are young 5 and 6- but they'll be holding small jewelry boxes and FH thinks they'll be fine. I do too - but they're inside a box!

Re: Ring bearer Q
good thing we didn't use our rings, because this is how our RB RAN down the aisle!
