I know this post is old but I am had the opposite problem with my flower girl. My fh cousin will be 11 at the wedding and really who cares how old they are, they are just kids. What's the difference between a fg/rb or junior gm or bm? Really they just arent holding something down the aisle. I doubt any of ur guests will think twice about it and if they do they have problems lol

Their is not a right or wrong age for RB or FG... If that's what you guys want go for it....

I think 11 is more Jr. Groomsman age. I think 8 is pretty much the upper limit for a ring bearer, but it's up to you

I agree with this. Our ring bearers will be 6 and 8. Can't you make the 11 yr old a Jr. Groomsman?

MAJOR UPDATE!!!!!!

My FMIL has taken the liberty to go and tell the ring bearer's (the one I didn't want) parents that 'we wanted their son as the ring bearer for the wedding'. REALLY?????

Now how do I look if I pick my fiance's nephew????

DH's nephew is the same age we made him a BM and them a second Best Man because I had two MOH's but yea I would say too old to be an Rb

My RB is my 10 year old brother. He will be helping the FG get down the aisle, because she will only be 18 months at the time of the wedding.

My RB is 8 and my FG is 5

I dint believe I saw a rule book on how young you must be to be thrown down an aisle with 100 people gawking at you.

Do whatever YOU want and choose WHOMEVER you want in YOUR wedding party.
