FH and I hate ring pillows. I don't know why... we just do. I think it's b/c I want to be able to use most of the stuff again after the wedding... So we decided we'd do a box of some sorts and have been searching high and low for the 'perfect' one.
We were at Fortunoff last night and we saw a double heart box that we thought would work, and then we both looked to the side at the same time and went 'THAT'S IT!'
We giggled that we both had the same reaction, we both went to grab it, and decided we had to have it.
Ever since we first started hanging out as friends Chinese food has been a major part of our relationship. We used to have chinese night every thursday and we still eat it at least once a week. It's very us, and very perfect and i'm super excited about it.
FH even came up with a cute idea for engraving it, we save most of our fortunes from our cookies, so from now till the week before the wedding we're going to put all the 'Love' type ones aside and when we go to have it engraved with our date we'll also pick one of the fortunes to put on it as well.
thanks! i love it too, i cant wait till i can actually use it, FH hid it from me so that i wont put it on my vanity.

That is SUCH a lovely idea!!! Why not put ALL the love fortunes in and let the rings rest on top??

I'm going to have to ask permission to TOTALLY steal that idea!!!! the night FH proposed, he ordered chinese food as a decoy, for the 'surprise' he told me he had for me! When I got home and there was chinese, I assumed that was it! (I do love Chinese food!) I had no idea it was just the beginning!!!

That was my idea! I thought maybe it was cheesey but I think that's what we'll do, and we'll engrave our fave on it.

OMG totally steal it! Fortunoff has them for $15 but I got one on sale b/c it didnt come with the box/gift wrap
You can get one online for like $8.50 plus shipping and handling... so maybe Fortunoff is cheaper

we're doing a few things like this... some i'm gonna try to keep quiet about b/c i know other brides on this site who are invited to the wedding... and i want some stuff to be a surprise.
it's all cute silly stuff that a lot of poeple will probably think are tacky or innapropriate or something... but you're right, it's sentimental and we'll love it and have it forever...
