My mom had bought me an industrial jewlery cleaner from jc penny and it is the best thing EVER it had a compartment on top that you soak your jewlery in and it has a steamer that steams your ring. I dont have to go out to get it cleaned ever and my ring is always sparkly. I highly reccomend it to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got something like that, I looked everywhere and I too found mine at JCPennys. Its electical it works ok. It has two compartments and you just fill it with cleaner and put it on high for three mins. The put it in the other comp. with just water to get rid of all the cleaner on it. I like the way it looks at jeweler better but oh well. I also got mine in the diamond district and cannot go back whenever i want a cleaning. I have gone in to look at wedding bands and they clean my ring for free at random stores.

I used to work in jewelry in HS, and yes this is the best! If you bring it to any jeweler they should do it for free. Oh, and girls with the ultrasonics, be careful!!!! They vibrate a lot, so don't leave them in too long! They shake you stones out!!!

My ultrasonic cleaner has a 5 minute limit. (sometimes I'll do it twice, ) but I fugure if the ring is loose and the stone is going to fall out the best place for them to fall out would be inside the cleaner. At least I will be able to find it!

Hmm I didn't think most jewelers do it for free unless you bought the ring/jewelry there.
I guess what FH really paid for was the fact that in case something happens with my rings it can be fixed for free?
Yes I also got an ultrasonic.. I don't use it much since it shakes the stones. I mainly use it on my costume/not-so-good jewelry that if the stones happen to fall off its not a big deal.

Re: Ring Cleaning
I clean my ring about once a week. I bought a cleaner from the store FH bought the ring from...it was like $6.00. Also when you are in the mall you can go to any of the stores and they will do it for free. I was told its better to clean it more often so that things dont get caked into the creases or in between the diamonds...gross!

I bought a ring cleaner from BBB,I think it's called exquisite jewelry? It's in a red bottle and it works great
Me too! It really does work great and inexpensive.

Re: Ring Cleaning
Wow, I can't believe how much advice you girls gave me for my little question! You're awesome. So, I ended up soaking it in Dawn and warm water for a few minutes, then rinsed it off in steaming hot water, and used a soft toothbrush on it. It looks great. Not 'like new,' but it was a good quick fix till I can take it to a jeweler. Or, apparently, buy some ammonia! Thanks again.
