hi ladies! my big day is sunday! i forgot a big thing i think! does anyone know of a reputable ring cleaner (prefer same day) near hempstead/ garden city?

Just go in to any jewelry store and ask them to clean your ring. They will do it on the spot!

that what i was thinking but i've (dunno if urban legend) about stones getting switched out and stuff so i was hoping for a personal recommendation.

maybe try Tri-County Flea Market because I think they clean them in front of you.

It takes some force and time for them to pull your stone out and replace it with a new one without you seeing them do it. When they clean your ring you don't leave it there ... you stand there and wait for it. Most places have the ring cleaning station in the front so it really never leaves your sight.
I get my ring cleaned from the jewelers who we bought the ring from. They do that for free. Why not go to the store your ring is from for the cleaning?
If not you can go to pretty much any jewlery store to have it cleaned. If you walk in and feel uncomfortable then walk out and go to the next one.

I will only get my ring cleaned at Good Old Gold. I haven't trusted any other store that's asked to clean it when we were shopping. They do take it in back, but there's a glass wall and you can see every move made, and I wouldn't trust any other place to do it.

Leder's Jewelers in Rockville Centre is phenomenal. They would do it for you. That's where FH bought my ring and they are ALWAYS pleasant and very trustworthy.
ETA: I've even left it with them overnight to get resized and didn't have any problems. And I KNOW they never switched the stones b/c my stone has a little mark inside of it that you can only see if you know it's there......so every time I get my ring back, I make sure that mark is still there

omg i was going to recommend Jodi at Craft Jewelers! she's friends of FH and his family! that's where FH bought my ring and every other guy in his group of friends bought their e-rings there!!! she's coming to our wedding! she will clean your ring right in front of you!!!
DEF go to Jodi at Craft Jewelers at Tri-County in Levittown!!!!!!!
