For special occassions like my e-party and wedding I bring to the jeweler to have the real cleanings done.
I bought a cleaner for my house that's specifically for platinum and diamonds, I'm trying to remember the name of it. It's in a red container and you can pretty much buy it at any store.
I clean my ring every two weeks myself

Re: ring cleaning
I bring mine to the jeweler (which reminds me - I have to do that before our E-Party in two weeks). And they also gave me their cleaner to put it in so I always clean it with that inbetween visits to the jeweler. I was also told I could use windex too!

Re: ring cleaning
Most jewlers will do it for free. I have to take my rings in every 6m because we have a service plan. In between then I just use the cleaning solution in the red container. Lots of places sell it. It's great for a I'm going out in 5 min and I want my ring to sparkle now!

Re: ring cleaning
I boil distilled water (tap water has minerals and deposits that may leave watermarks) and then i pour about a cup in a bowl with a tablespoon of ammonia. I let my ring bathe in it for about 10 min, then use a soft toothbrush and scrub!
i then rinse with the leftover boiled distilled water, and blow dry it.
I do this every Sunday night! lol, I am obsessed with cleaning my ring.
my ring is platinum... i am not sure if i would recommend this to those with gold or other metals.

I use toothpaste. My grandma always used toothpaste and my mom told me to do it. It cleans my ring soooooo well!!!! It sparkles so much after I clean it.
